After 007 drove an Aston Martin DBS in 1969, for his Diamonds are Forever mission, James Bond turned to American Automobile maker, Ford Motor Company, to supply his transportation. Unlike most of the previous vehicles, the Mustang was equipped with no optional extras to aid 007 in his espionage. The only thing required from the Fastback Edition Mustang was its phenomenal muscle and speed, which Bond utilizes to elude the authorities during his stay in Las Vegas. At the chase's culmination, 007 thwarts the final police officer's attempts at an apprehension by ramping on the car's two right wheels and escaping through a narrow alley. The patrolman's attempt to duplicate the maneuver was somewhat less successful.
