During the evaluation of James Bond on the road overlooking Monte Carlo, Xenia Onatopp decides to drop in on 007. Behind the wheel of a brand new 1995 Ferrari Spyder, Onatopp tries to out-drive 007, who is driving the Aston Martin DB5. She avoids hitting several cyclists on the road thanks to Bond's courtesy to females. Seconds later, she nearly collides with a large truck while trying to pass Bond. Luckily, thanks to some nifty driving (and a side road gravel spot) she averts the tragedy.
Production Note- The Ferrari Corporation was reluctant to let the producers use their vehicle in the production of the film. They later consented to the use of the Spyder on one condition: The Ferrari must come out ahead of the Aston Martin at the culmination of the race between Bond and Onatopp. The Ferrari did defeat Bond's Aston Martin in the race, and the producers had their Ferrari.
