After Miss Anders is murdered by Scaramanga at the kickboxing match in Thailand, Mary Goodnight is abducted and thrown into the back of Nick Nack's car. As Lt. Hip searches for means of travel, James Bond "test drives" the AMC Hornet right out of the showroom floor! With J.W. Pepper in the passenger seat, Bond pussues Scaramanga through the streets of Thailand. After taking a wrong turn and winding up on the opposite side of the canal, 007 ramps a defunct bridge through a mid-air corkscrew jump and successfully lands on the other side to resume the chase.

Production Note- To successfully achieve the bridge jump, physicists had to calculate the exact speed and angle the Hornet must hit the bridge at to complete the jump. The producers were given 6 AMC Hornets to attempt the stunt. Amazingly, the jump was successfully completed on the first try!
