Episode #105 - Look Who's Talking
Both Joey and Jen are at Dawson's house for movie night. Neither feels comfortable staying if one leaves of leaving if one stays, so they decided to both leave, leaving Dawson alone. Pacey wants to go somewhere with Tamara, but she doesn't want to risk it. While Pacey is telling Dawson about this, someone overhears them and the rumor spread around the school. Both Pacey and Tamara are worried about what could happen if the rumor gets to the school board. When it does, there is a hearing. Pacey shows up and tells the school board that he made up the whole thing, which they believe. Later, Tamara breaks up with Pacey, telling him that she will be leaving Capeside.
Meanwhile, Bessie goes into labor at the Potter's house. Bodie is not home, their phone is not working, and their truck gets stuck in the mud. Therefore, their only option is to row over to Dawson's house to use his phone. When they do this, they find out that the only ambulance is many miles away, and will not get there in time. Relectantly, Joey asks Jen's grandmother, who is a nurse, to help them deliever the baby. She agrees, and Dawson decides to make a movie so that Bodie can see the birth of his first child. Joey gets upset when Bessie starts screaming and has to leave the room, because it sounds just like when her mother was in pain from her cancer. Dawson convinces her that Bessie really needs her, so Joey goes back to her sister's side. Although there are complications and a lot of blood, the baby is born alive and well.
