Episode #106 - The Breakfast Club

In the first scene, Joey points out to Dawson that guys like girls for totally superficial reasons, and then says that it goes both ways. Dawson disagrees, saying that girls just want a romantic guy. Joey then asks why, if that is true, Jen hasn't slept with Dawson yet.
The next day in school, the self-appointed school stud makes fun of Joey during her presentation and again at lunch, provoking her to slug him and get a Saturday detention for herself. Meanwhile, Jen has an arguement with her teacher over euthenasia, getting her a Saturday detention. After Pacey tells Jen that Dawson used to be called "Oompaloompa," Dawson gets so mad that he throws a basketball at Pacey's nose, breaking it and getting Saturday detention for himself.
That Saturday, Dawson, Joey, Jen, Pacey, and Abby are in detention in the school library. Pacey won't tell anyone why he's there, and Abby makes up a story that is obviously false. After they all sit around for a long time, completely bored, Abby suggests that they play a game of truth or dare. Abby asks Pacey why he's in detention, and he refuses to tell, choosing to take a dare instead. She dares him to kiss Jen, which he does, making Dawson very jealous. Then Pacey asks Joey who she likes, and she also decides to take a dare instead. He dares her to kiss Dawson, which she does. Then she asks Jen if Dawson really is the guy she's most attracted to. After hesitating, Jen answers yes, then asks Joey why she's so interested in her and Dawson. Then Dawson dares them all to escape to the gym.
Once there, he and Pacey play a game of basketball, and Dawson says that if Pacey looses he has to tell everyone why he got detention. While they are playing, Jen asks Joey why she doesn't like her. Then Abby points out that they can never be friends as long as they are fighting over the same guy. She goes on to say that it's so obvious that Joey has a major crush on Dawson. Joey is clearly embarassed.
The gang isn't able to get back to the library in time, so they have to sort an entire drawer of the card catalog. After they finish, Dawson asks Pacey why he got stuck in detention (Dawson won the basketball game.) Pacey says that he got "a little excited" when the cheerleaders were helping him, and a teacher saw. Then Dawson tells Pacey that the reason he hit him with the basketball is that he was jealous of Pacey, because he's not a virgin anymore. Then he tells Jen that he doesn't understand why she doesn't want to have sex with him, and that he thinks about her all the time. Joey is visably upset by this, and she tells Dawson that at least he'll loose his virginity before she does, cuz she'll probably be a virgin forever. He says that she just needs to find the right guy, and she says that she already has. Then she trys to tell him how she feels about him, but she just can't say it. Just then, the librarian walks in and tells them that they can leave.
