Hi and thanks for stopping by! Tom originated the role of Jake McKinnon on the daytime drama Another World in February 1985. Although he left the show twice to pursue a career in Hollywood (once in 1986 and again in 1995), Tom returned to the soap both times. For his portrayal of Jake, Tom has been nominated for three Soap Opera Digest Awards and has won two of them. On June 25, 1999, NBC cancelled Another World, but Tom fans were pleased when it was announced that Jake Mckinnon would be moving to AW's sister soap - As The World Turns. Jake's move to Oakdale, ATWT's fictional city, is for an undetermined time, but for now, fans are enjoying Tom in the role that made him famous. - August 23 -- Sorry for the lack of updates, I just got back from vacation in Atlantic City last night. I finally got around to adding those pictures of Tom from the Middletown appearance. I also added a new encounter from Alice. I'll be doing a big update soon (hopefully) with more sounds and the history, so keep checking back!
- July 27 -- Added a new encounter, Tom's chat from June 24, and a new photo in the group/miscellaneous gallery. I also have some pictures from Patti (who is very sweet! thank you!) who attended Tom's appearance in Middletown, NY this past weekend.
- July 12 -- I added a few new pictures today, as well as 3 new quotes from the SOD with the tribute to Another World in it. I'm looking for the transcript of Tom's latest chat, so if you missed it, I'll have it up as soon as it comes out. I missed it as well, so I'm curious to see what he had to say. Jake's history is still in the works, but it's coming along fairly well. So look for that to be up within the next few weeks, along with some new sounds.
