I met Tom Eplin at a Hardees Restaurant in Jackson, Minnesota. He was on his way to California to visit his parents for the 4th of July. It was the BIGGEST thrill of my life, and I've been on the planet for 65 years. He is a very nice, kind person, and is even cuter in person.
After the signing he said he wouldn't take individual pictures with people. I guess I musted of made a impression on him, what kind of impression I guess I'll never know. My friend that I was with asked him if he would mind if she took a picture of he and I. I thought he would just grin and decline, but as to my good fortune he actually said of course. I have the picture in a frame with his arms holding me close and my arms around his neck. The picture actually turned out really good, I've always wanted to send him a copy. As we all know he probably doesn't even remember the great impression that he made on me. To have that feeling inside as if he was only focused on you is something you'll never forget.
