My name is Stephanie and I just met Tom this weekend! He was at a Grand Opening of a new Sears Center, near my house, in Montreal (in the West Island actually). He was supposed to come from 11am-12pm and from 1:30-2:30pm as well. I was there for both times (I'm a very devoted fan). I was extremely excited, and had been looking forward to meeting him all week. I have been watching him on AW since 1985, and I am mad about him.
Anyway, there I was, waiting impatiently for him to come out, and talk to us. When he finally did, I thought I would die! What a hottie!!! He was wearing jeans, sneakers and a dark green shirt. He walked right by me to get to the stage! He was just a few centimeters away from me! I could not believe it!
So he spoke to us for a while, and he even showed us his scar on his left foot, that he hurt while "saving Marley." It was pretty cool. Then it was time for him to sign autographs, and I was all the way at the back of the line. Some people got to kiss him, and he personalized his autograph, but then they started to run out of time, so they told us no more kisses and Tom will ONLY sign his name. I was SO disappointed. So when it was FINALLY my turn to go up, he only signed his name, and I said: "I'm coming back at 1:30 so you can finish this, cause I know you have no time now." And he said: "Oh, no problem, come back at 1:30." I was ecstatic! Tom Eplin was speaking to ME!
So at 1:30 (I was stratigically placed this time), I was one of the
first people to see him. I went up and he went to sign his name on another
poster, and I stopped him and said: "I already have your name on my poster,
could you just PLEASE add TO STEPHANIE?" And he said "Sure." He did it,
and I shook his hand and said: "Thank you very much," and he said:
"You're welcome Stephanie." I know this experience is quite simple, and I would have loved to have
had more time to speak to him, and get a kiss, but they told us that we
weren't aloud to ask for kisses. He actually only kissed people he already
knew (lucky them...) So that's it! Hope you enjoyed my contribution to this
section of your web page. I love "Jake" too, and meeting Tom just made my
day. His signed picture now resides on the wall in my room.
