LFO Concert
It was a Thursday concert.
My friend and I were supposed to be in classes that night, but we
decided not to go. The regular schools
were on Winter break. We had a morning
class that got out at 12. From there we
went straight to the Royal Oak Music Theatre where the concert was taking
place. 93.1 DRQ was hosting it with Tic
Tak “The geek” and Billy the intern.
Since the LFO concert were first some first serve, we got there
early. At 2:00. The concert started at 7:30. We live in Michigan, so a February concert
at 2:00 isn’t bad, but at 5:30 it starts to get cold. Very cold. So we sat
there with some other kids. Now I am 20
and my friend is 28 so it was a little odd for us to be standing out there with
13 and 14 year olds. But we talked with
some parents who had brought their kids and formed the concert line bond. You know the one. Standing there hours on end, you watch each others backs and
places while others run to the bathroom.
Well while we were waiting, hours later, around 6, around came a bus, we
wondered whose bus it was until we saw the Trans Continental on the side and we
knew that it was LFO. Well we all went
running around the side and there they were.
