While attending college, I was in various activities. I was a part of the concert choir, a member of Voice for Choice, and I pledged a Fraternity. I'm a Brother of Alpha Phi Omega, a Co-Ed National Service Fraternity. I'm a Life Member and a Torchbearer. I'm still active as a member of Sectional Staff for Alpha Phi Omega. The following poem was written by a fellow Brother.

"In the darkness, you are the light.
In the homeless, you are the home.
In the kitchen, you are the soup.
No matter the call, you are the time of service.

In the tears, you are the shoulder.
In the battery, you are the friend.
In the sickness, you are the cure.
No matter the call, you are the time of service.

In the crisis, you are the phone.
In the fire, you are the water.
In the flood, you are the sand.
No matter the call, you are the time service.

In your group, you are a leader.
In your gang, you are a friend.
In the event, you are the service.
No matter the call, you are the time of service."
