Brief Character History: Caitlin is Daddy's little girl but she has fallen hard over Cole Deschanel, a former jewel thief. She was pregnant with his child but knows that he had an affair with another woman in Sunset Beach. She doesn't yet know that this woman was her mother. Caitlin's father, Gregory, has gone to great lengths to cause Caitlin and Cole to break up, including bringing one of Cole's ex-girlfriends to Sunset Beach to share with Caitlin how her family jewels were stolen right before Cole disappeared. She is now married to Cole and they have a baby that is not really theirs. Caitlin lost her baby and Annie stole Olivia's baby to give to Caitlin. Cole does not know that baby is not really his. The real mother of the baby is Caitlin's mother, Olivia. Cole had an affair with Olivia and he may be the father of her baby. Olivia thinks she lost her baby, but she really didn't. Caitlin has her baby. Caitlin will do anything to protect the secret of her son Trey.
