Brief Character History: Hank owned a farm in Kansas, and when he lost the farm he and his wife, Joan moved to Sunset Beach to be closer to their daughter, Meg. Hank is very protective of his two daughters. He wants the best for them. After Hank got to know Ben, he couldn't pick a better man for his daughter, Meg, to marry. Hank is very supportive of Ben and Meg. He also supported his daughter, Sara, after he found out that she really did have an affair with Congressman Blythe. He was upset at first, but he forgave his daughter. After the earthquake, Hank is rebuilding Elaine's Waffle Shop with the help of his wife, Leo Deschanel, and Sean Richards.
