Crimes Committed: Although not charged or convicted, she did aid and abet a know felon (Annie Douglas, who was charged with her father's murder)
Brief Character History: Meg is the Kansas "girl next door" who ran away to Sunset Beach, California. She found a job working as a waitress for Ben Evans at the Java Web and the Deep. She had a brief relationship with Ben Evans, until the Ben’s tormented memories of his dead wife, Maria, finally drove him to push Meg away. She tried to get on with her life without Ben, so she quit working for him. She then started reading Maria’s diary trying to find out what secrets are haunting Ben about Maria. When Meg found out that Annie and Tim tried to keep her and Ben apart, she found out that some of the entry's in Maria's journal were written by Annie, not Maria. Ben and Meg eventually got back together and they planned to get married. When Ben bought Meg and island, she invited all her friends to spend New Year's Eve there, not knowing that a killer was after her and her friends. Meg's best friend Mark admitted his feelings for her at the island and the same night he was murdered by the killer. A while after the island incident, Meg didn't feel her connection with Ben anymore, not knowing that it was Derek (Ben's twin). Derek pretended to be Ben to get his revenge. Derek took Meg up to Ben's cabin. Meg figured out that Ben had a twin and Derek was pretending to be Ben. The real Ben came to Meg's rescue and saved the day.
