More of Sony's Amazing Machine

Sony has decided to show off the newest and most exciting piece of hardware in the business. It is the new system Playstation 2. This monstro is foing to be able handle tons of information and its engine is capable of beautiful facial expressions and fluid movements. El monstro is super powerful and can handle CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, and internet. The only wuestion is whether it can play DVD movies or not and I am thinking not. Graphic capabilities are comparable to those of such high quality special effects as Starship Troopers and Jurassic Park. Lighting and other effects are made possible by "particles", which are actually a smaller and better version of polygons.

The Playstation is also 100% backwards compatible with the old Playstation games. So you can thrown in your old station or just keep it to show your Grandchildren. Not only is backwards compatible with the games, but also all th hardware. Pocketstation, memory cards, controllers, all work with the new system. Although it is not yet announced whether or not it will support four or more controller ports it is basically a sure thing considering it would be stupid to have to buy the multi port even after buying a new system.

The only question left unanswered is price. This is not yet known, but when a rumor of $500 to $600 was announced Sony scoffed and said the guesses were way cold. My guess is that it will retail at about $250 to $300 by the time that it makes its way to the states.
