Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith), the drug-dealing stoners who've made cameo appearances in a clutch of Smith's films, are back and starring in their own flick! When Jay and Bob learn that their comic-book alter egos, Bluntman and Chronic, have been sold to Hollywood as part of a big-screen movie -- but that they're out any royalties -- the pair travels to Tinseltown to sabotage the production.
Summary from www.netflix.com
What a vulgar mess. I wish Kevin Smith could give up his obsession with the f-word. I'm not one to shy away from it, but 228 times in one movie is ridiculous. It just wore on me, and I almost turned the movie off. The only reason I stuck with it is I expected it to get better, and it did--a little. There are some funny moments and parodies, and I think I laughed out loud 3 times. I actually fast-forwarded a little bit, though, and that's never a good sign. I definitely wouldn't waste your time on this movie unless you're a big Kevin Smith fan, or you like to hear the f-word over and over and over... --Bill Alward, May 16, 2003
