Story about 2 thugs who terrorize a group of people on a subway car in New York. It's definitely dated for viewing in 1999, but worse yet, its central message was infuriating to watch. The message was how people refuse to come to the aid of others because they're frightened of the repercussions to themselves. This is true, but I don't think the story was handled well. It was obvious if everyone had banded together, they would have thrown the punks off the train immediately, instead of enduring hours of torment. The film is meant to be a parable about Nazi Germany, but it was too heavy-handed.
