In 1899, the imagination of Lyman Frank Baum opened up and he decided to share his creation with the world. This creation was a marvelous land populated by wondrous peoples. Over the span of 14 books, Baum's "Oz" took shape.

Upon his death, another assumed the mantle of "Royal Historian of Oz" and over time, countless others would relate tales of this marvelous land.

If MGM's 1939 version of "Oz" is all that you are familiar with, then are you in for a treat. Below you can begin your journey through "Literary Oz" and "Cinema Oz"... you can visit "Critics on Oz" and see some of the various interpretations of the "Art of Oz." Need some souvenirs of your travels? Then by all means, visit "Shopping Oz."

I have endeavored to cull the web; have labored to span the net; have (repeatedly) visited Yahoo and AltaVista, Lycos and Infoseek -- all in an effort to gather and chronicle any and all sites that deal with the marvelous Land of Oz. With over 800 links (including over-85 "Shopping" sites and over-350 "Bookshoppe" entries!)...

NOTE: Clicking on any link will open a new browser window!

So with all of that said, my tribute to everything OZ begins here,
close your eyes... click your heels three times...
and repeat after me...

"There's no place like home... except Oz!"
