Do to recent events, the site has been suspended. We also
feel you have all the right to know why. This site has terminated
its service because of certain disharmony between this site and
two other Lacey Sites. It has been brought to attention that there
are several conflicts in the useage of material. Therefore, to avoid
legal actions, all materials have been removed from access.
There have been two issues of conflict which have caused this site to shut down. The first of which is the
disagreement of who has the right to use articles. LaceyVibes has complained that LaceyCentral is using
copywritten material from its site. This copywritten material are articles from such magazines as Teen
People and Lime Magazine. How that site claims to be the sole user of material from magazines and how
they manage to say they've copywritten material that has already been copywritten by major publishers
is still unknown, but to avoid conflict, the articles have been removed. The second conflict is another
copywritten case, but this is between this site and laceychabert.com. Laceychabert.com claims the
right to use the statement, "The Premiere Lacey Chabert Site", which LaceyCentral also uses. Again, to
avoid conflict, this has been removed. Although this site has used that statement since Dec. 96, before
the creation of Laceychabert.com, it has been said that this site cannot use it anyways. We remind
our viewers that LaceyCentral does not intentionaly try to violate copywritten material and that this
is not a commercial site. There is no profit gained; the site has been created just for a hobby, unlike
the other commercial sites which do it for money. LaceyCentral does not want any conflicts with
anyone, so again, that is why this site is shutting down. We apologize again. Whether this site
will reopen again is still an issue.
The Guestbook will be
the only operational
part of LaceyCentral.
