He bet 30 thousand dollars, his law school tuition in a poker game but losses it all. Matt turns over a new leaf, six months later seeing him in law school and working as a truck driver. Although Matt isn't playing high stakes at poker, his girlfriend Jo, is still not impressed with him showing off his skills at a judge's poker game. The cast of Rounders Jo becomes seriously concerned when Matt's old buddy, Worm, is released from jail. Her fear that Worm will drag Matt back into gambling became a reality when Matt turns his back on her and help Worm settle his debts, and goes back to the road of gambling.
