    Sigma is a virus created by the late Dr.  Wiley.  He survived for some time until some how he managed to be "created" by Dr. Cain.  He lead a Maverick Hunter unit.  A Maverick is a Reploid (Robots who can think and feel) who has gone evil.  He and his hunters were good at tracking down Mavericks.  He came across a red Maverick who wiped out a lot of Hunters in an abandon lab.  He fought this Maverick almost to the death, but he barely won.  He had the Maverick taken to Dr. Cain's lab for study. The Maverick was Zero.  Later, He went Maverick and his unit with him.  Mega Man X and Zero went out to stop him.  After fighting off his Men, X destroyed him and the Maverick base.

    Six months had passed and all most all of the Mavericks were destroyed.  Then, the X-Huters appeared.  They told X that they had Zero's old parts. They were destroyed by Mega Man X.  Not before it was reviled that there leader was Sigma.  He had rebuilt the destroyed Zero and put him up against Mega Man X.  Zero realized what was up and X went after Sigma.  He destroyed Sigma again.  But Sigma made a comment about Zero being "the last of the doc's creations."  What did it mean???

    A few years passed and a Reploid named Dr. Doppler fixed the Maverick problem and neutralized Mavericks.  But, Sigma took control of him and he went evil and used his forces to destroy the Maverick-Hunters.  X and Zero stopped him, but not before he built Sigma a Super body.  Sigma was destroyed, but the virus remained.  He tried to take over X's body, but was stopped by the fallen Dr. Doppler.  Now it seemed Sigma was gone for good.

    Some time had passed and a mysterious figure met with the Repliforce General.  He instead that they should destroy the humans, but the General declined.  This mysterious figure was in fact Sigma.  He put a spy in on X and used Repliforce against the Maverick-Hunters.  He took control of the Repliforce space base in hopes that he could use it's weapons and destroy the Earth.  Sigma reviled to Zero that he use to be a Maverick. But Zero didn't care.  He and X destroyed him again.  And now it looks as if Sigma is destroyed, but is he?
