• Having fun between takes. On the set of Romeo & Juliet, Leo entertained himself by hiting people over the head with Twizzlers. During The Basketball Diaries, he blew bubbles between scenes. He says "It's impulsive, I don't know where it comes from."

• Leo doesn't like the stares his good looks attract. "Is it because they recognize me or they think I'm wierd?" he asks. "You really start to take it personally. You think, is there something on my face?" Even Kate Winslet says he's modest. "He can't take compliments," she says.

• Getting Wet! After shooting ten takes in a downpour and ten with his head dunked in a sink for his role as Romeo, Leo asked, "Is there going to be a day when I don't get wet?" He immediatly went to shoot Titanic, "Leo was like a cat," says James Cameron, "He made this big drama about getting wet."

His Dad: "We think he's actually an alien, wired a different way then us. There's something going on in him that we don't understand."

Jonah Johnson(his friend): "He may be famous, but he's just Leo the jerk, like us."

Claire Danes: "Leo's like a string of firecrackers that keep going off."

Kate Winslet: "He's probably the world's most beautiful-looking man, yet he doesn't think he's gorgeus." Leo says this of Kate: "She's cool. We were joined at the hip. We were a support team for each other."

Kathy Bates: "Leo's so funny. He carried his pet lizard with him on the set of Titanic. He seemed totally likeable. Then you get to work and realize he's a phenom."

Billy Zane: "Working with Leo on Titanic was like having a little brother on the set. It got pretty silly. We were into hallway bowling."

Titanic Director James Cameron: "I met him and just loved him. Leo doesn't want to be a mega-star. I keep telling him, 'look, all success means for you is more options. Now you're going to have access to all the material you want as an actor." Leo on James: "He's an all-around class-A filmmaker in my book."
