I have neeb both cursed and blessed, by the creator, to look like the big "DD." Once, about 3 year ago, I walket into a mall in Florida where they were having an X-Files convention and had to leave to save my life, I've never signed so many autographs (thing is, I used my reall name and it pissed people off). Not a day goes by when I don't get stoppe by someone or I hears someone in passing say "Hey, that's the guy from the X-Files" or someone goes up to me and says "Oh, I'm sorry I thought you were..." I don't necessarily see all of the resembalance, afterall I'm 10 yeras younger and 5 inches shor er but most people don't seem to care. Even after I tell them I and not him they still want my autograph or want to have my picture taken with them. My new name has become "Fox" and even my mother has started calling me that. Sometimes, as a joke, I'll walk into a resturaunt with some friends and put reservations down under John Duchovny and boy do I get all the attention and extra perks. I too am an actor but sometimes I am turned down for a role because of the resemblance. Other times it works to my advantage, especially for parody gigs. Anyhow, sometimes I wish I could be my own person other times I thankful I look like someone who is such a great role model. I anticipate meeting him one day to thank him and possible even being in a movie with him as his younger brother :-) Have Fun All and Enjoy Life!!!! |
