VELVET REVOLVER - "VODAFONE ARENA, MELBOURNE - 27 FEBRUARY 2005"

Details: Vodafone Arena, Melbourne - 27 February 2005. This was Velvet Revolver's first trip to Melbourne and they put on a great show. The show was recorded in LP2 mode as it went for 100 minutes. Almost the entire Contraband album is played as well as a few Stone Temple Pilot, Guns N Roses and Aerosmith covers. During the Guns 'N' Roses songs Scott Weiland sounded very much like Axl making me realise how much I miss the original Guns 'N' Roses. The recording came out quite well. My rating: A-
