Sam glanced at O'neil "Sir, we all have weapons" she stated and he nodded "That would appear to be so" he answered sarcastically "All except Daniel sir" she said and he raised his eyebrows and turned to Daniel, O'neil walked over to a weapon cabinet and pulled out a holster and handed it to Daniel, Daniel looked at it and then to O'neil, O'neil took it and did it around his own waist and then handed it back to Daniel who put it on "Now, the guns got ammo but here are some more rounds" O'neil told him handing a box over "Thanks" Daniel said and put them in his back pack.
Sg-1 passed through the gate and stepped out of the cold tunnel in to the hot weather of Abydos.
O'neil wiped his forehead and took his jacket off "Hot enough" he grumbled and there was a chorus of agreements.
Sam shoved her jacket in her pack and started to cool down from wearing a sleeveless top, she glanced over at Teal'c who didn't look hot at all "Aren't you hot Teal'c?" she asked and he shook his head "I am use to this weather" he answered and she nodded and turned to where Daniel was studying the gate, he pulled his jacket off and wiped his forehead "Bloody hell" he muttered and Sam smiled and walked over to him "You okay?" she asked and he nodded "Yeah, always hated this weather" he added and stood, he pulled his shirt off and wrapped his jacket around his waist, he also started to cool down from the army blue singlet he was now wearing.
Sg-1 set off across the dessert in the direction of the setting sun. Sam walked behind O'neil and Teal'c with Daniel who had long ago gotten rid of his glasses.
Daniel pulled out his bandanna and put it on his head, he turned to Sam "You okay?" he asked and she nodded "Just a bit scared" she admitted and he squeezed her arm "Why?" "Last time we were on Abydos their were mines around here" she said and he sighed "They probably moved" he answered looking at the setting sun with his hand as a shield, he spotted something on the horizon and pulled out his binoculars and looked through them and took off running through the sand.
Sam called out to O'neil and Teal'c to stop and pulled out her own binoculars and looked at the village on the horizon that had a large amount of smoke rising.
"Shit" O'neil muttered as he saw the village as they walked up to the large doors, he pulled out his gun and Carter did the same "Carter you guard out here, Teal'c you look around" O'neil ordered and Sam nodded "What are you doing sir?" "I'll find Daniel" he answered and snuck in through the crack in the door.
O'neil walked through the dead bodies until he finally found Daniel who was crouched over some one.
Daniel looked at the dead body of Sha'uri and looked at the burn mark from a Goauld staff at her side, O'neil walked up beside of him and laid a hand on his shoulder "I'm sorry Daniel" he said and Daniel stood "Thanks" Daniel answered and glanced "We need to start a large fire so we can burn all the bodies" he said and walked off to get Sam and Teal'c, O'neil watched him go and then followed.
Daniel carried the last of the bodies to the fire and tossed it on, he pulled on his jacket and did up the zipper to keep the chill out. Sam sat down beside him and took his hand but he shrugged her off "I'm okay" he said and she nodded "You're taking this well" she said after a while and he nodded "Are you okay?" she asked and he nodded again "Yeah, I'll be right" he answered and she stood and walked over to O'neil who was watching the flames climb higher. O'neil watched Sam sit beside him and nodded towards Daniel "Is he okay?" he asked and she nodded "He seems to be taking it really well" she said "That's good" O'neil said and got up to put the fire out.
