Sam entered Daniel's room to find him gone, she turned around and walked straight in to him "Oh, sorry" she quickly said and he grinned "Where are you going?" she demanded once she saw his bag on his shoulder "Back to my apartment" he replied and she smiled "Where going to Florida!" she exclaimed and hugged him "What are you talking about?" he demanded and she pulled back "The general said we all needed a break so you, me and Colonel are going on a vacation" she told him "What about Teal'c?" Daniel asked "He wants to stay here" she told him and he nodded "When do we go?" "I got the soonest flight which is tomorrow at midday" she told him handing over a ticket and he took it and flipped through it but quickly glanced up at her "These are first class" he exclaimed and she beamed "I know, General Hammond said you deserved it and since we're your friends…" she said and he smiled "And we don't want to disappoint the good general would we" Daniel finished and she patted his arm "Exactly" she said and he quickly kissed her forehead and turned to leave but turned back "See ya tomorrow" he added before running out the door, Sam put a hand to her forehead and came out of her dream plane "Wow" she muttered before leaving.
Sam stared in amusement as she watched Daniel get out of the taxi in his camouflage boats and black top and his camouflage jacket, he walked up to her and O'neil and put his hand over her mouth before she said anything "Not a word, I need to do some washing" he said and she nodded but kept on smiling "Danny, how are we going to pick up chicks if your in field uniform?" O'neil teased and Daniel shot him a warning glance "Shut it O'neil" "And any way, I'll buy some clothes" Daniel added and O'neil grinned and Sam groaned "You guys aren't gonna spend all your time picking up 'chicks' are you?" Sam asked and O'neil turned to her "What else are we meant to be going on this vacation?" he asked and Sam chuckled "Spend time together" she suggested and O'neil scoffed "What kind of a vacation is that?!?" O'neil spat out and Sam glared at him but Daniel cut in "Excuse me hate to interrupt this little bitch fight but we have a plane to catch, as in flying vehicle" Daniel said sarcastically and Sam and O'neil broke their gaze and picked up their bags "Lets go" Sam said grumpily and they started to walk to the gates and Daniel turned to her "What are we meant to do?".
Daniel sat down in the comfy seat and O'neil and Sam sat on either side "Well aren't I the popular one" he said sarcastically and O'neil grinned "I'm only sitting next to you cause all the hostesses are making eyes at you" he said and Sam scoffed "Your full of it" she spat out and O'neil leant over Daniel "No, you are" Sam also leant over Daniel "No, your full of it" "You are" "No you are" "Children Children!" Daniel shouted and stood up and climbed over the seat in front of him and sat down "Hey, sir I have to ask you to leave that seat" a hostess asked and Daniel put his puppy dog eyes on and gave her a pleading look "I'm sorry but I'm stuck with those geeks" Daniel said pointing with his thumb at Sam and O'neil who were laughing their heads off, the hostess turned back "Well, okay, but only you, have a nice trip" she said and turned and walked off on her little high heels, Daniel turned to the others and grinned, O'neil sneered and quickly sat down in a different seat across from him, the hostess quickly came up "Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to leave" she said and O'neil looked at her pleadingly "But I don't want to sit with her" he whined and pointed to Sam but the hostess shook her head "I'm sorry sir but I'm going ton have to ask you to move back" she repeated and O'neil groaned "But you let him change" he whined and the hostess smiled as she looked at Daniel "Yeah, but he's cute" she said before walking off, O'neil sat down in his old seat and glared at Daniel "Young arshole" he spat out and Daniel smiled and climbed back next to Sam and O'neil "No hard feelings old man" he teased and O'neil playfully punched him in the arm, Daniel smiled and looked up at the tv's.
Sam moved across one seat so she had her own tv and O'neil did the same which left a seat in-between them all, Daniel pulled off his glasses and took his jacket off and rolled it up like a pillow and started to doze off.
"May I sit here?" a voice asked and Daniel opened his eyes and stared in to the face of a tall lady with shoulder length blond hair and bright blue eyes "Thanks" she said sitting down between Daniel and Sam "I'm Trish" she said and Daniel shook her hand "I happened to notice you from where I sit and you seemed to be alone" she commented Daniel opened his mouth to talk but she cut in "You going to Florida?" she asked and Daniel nodded and Trish pulled out a piece of paper from her bag and write her number on it "Call me" she said handing him the piece and stood, Daniel cleared and stared at Sam for help "May I introduce my self" Sam said cutting in and Trish razed her eyebrows "And you are?" Trish asked , Sam pulled her self in to the seat beside Daniel and wrapped his arms around her "I'm his fiancee" Sam said and Trish stared at her in shock "Oh nice to meet you" Trish said and continued to glare at Sam, Sam stared back "Were you trying to pick up my fiancee?" Sam demanded and Trish quickly shook her head and headed back to her seat, Daniel watched her go and hugged Sam and put his head on her shoulder "Thank You" he whispered and pulled back and Sam grinned "Fine with me, that ladies been eyeing you all this trip and I wanted to pay her back" she told him and he raised his eye brows "Why did you want to pay her back?" he asked and Sam quickly cut in "This is our holiday and any way, your married" she added and he smiled and let her go "I'm not really" he said "Not really what?" she asked and he sighed "Married" he answered and she nodded "Yeah, sorry, forgot" she said and rested back and closed her eyes and tried to get comfortable, Daniel sighed and gently pulled her head down to rest on his shoulders, Sam opened her eyes "Thanks" she said an drifted off, Daniel stroked her hair for a while before putting his head next to hers and going to sleep.
O'neil watched then sleep and grinned "By the time this vacation is over they'll be together" he said quietly and smiled as her turned away from the sleeping couple and back to his magazine on sports.
Daniel, Sam and O'neil stepped off of the plane in to a wave of hot air, Daniel turned to O'neil "Nothing like Abydos" he commented and O'neil smiled "Yeah, you're right", they collected their bags and headed off to get a taxi.
"This is it" Sam called out and the taxi stopped out side a posh hotel, Daniel stared at it "No way" he commented "Daniel close your mouth and stop drooling, you look like when you first saw Hathor" O'neil teased and Daniel glared at him "Shut it O'neil" he spat out and climbed out of the taxi and grabbed his bag and Sam's which she took off of him and they headed up to the building, O'neil shook his head and paid the taxi driver and followed them.
Daniel entered the hotel and looked around at the expensive place and followed Sam over to the book in desk, the lady took the passes and glanced over Daniel "Nice, very nice" she commented and Daniel walked up to her "Please, just do the rooms" he pleaded and she smiled and took down three keys and handed them to him "If you get lonely" she said seductively and Daniel turned to her "Trust me, I won't be" he said and grabbed his bag and met O'neil and Sam at the elevator.
"What did she want?" Sam asked as they waited for the elevator to stop "Guess" O'neil teased and Daniel glared at him "Mind your tongue old man" he said and O'neil fell quiet and waited for the elevator to stop.
Sam stepped in to her room and her mouth dropped open "Nice" she muttered as she stared around the large room with a double bed and her own bathroom "Very nice" she added as she bounced on the bed like a child.
O'neil walked in to his room and through his bag on the bed and collapsed and started to fall asleep after the long flight.
Daniel walked in to his room and stared in disbelief "Cool" he said out loud as he sat down on the bed and bounced slightly "Awesome" he added and walked in to the bathroom and checked it out and then came back out and flicked the tv on, he glanced around and noticed two doors, he walked over and opened one and found towels, he closed it and opened the next one which was in to a small corridor that went for about two metres and then there was another door, he tried to open it but it was locked, he was about to give up when it opened to reveal Sam.
"We have a door that leads in to each others rooms?" Daniel asked in disbelief and Sam grinned "Wow" she managed to spit out as she pushed past him in to his room "Unpack" she said and he saluted "Yes Captain" he said sarcastically and she smiled and shoved him "It's ten and I'm hungry, I'll get O'neil and you are to get changed" she ordered and headed back through the corridor "Yes mum!" Daniel called out after her and closed the door.
Daniel knocked on Sam's door and waited for an answer "Daniel, if that's you I'll meet you down at the lobby" she called out and Daniel shrugged to O'neil and they headed down to the lobby.
Sam stepped out of the elevator and smiled when she saw Daniel asleep in a chair wearing a pair of jeans and a Knicks T-shirt, she crept over and quickly looked around for O'neil but couldn't find him "daniel Daniel DANIEL!" Sam shouted and he opened his eyes slightly "What?" he said annoyed "Where's O'neil?" she asked and Daniel sat up "He said for us to have dinner, he was gonna try and pick up some chicks" he said and she nodded "Where'd you get the clothes from?" she asked helping him up "Top's mine but the jeans are O'neil's, there to big" he said making a face "You a Knicks fan?" she asked and he nodded, Daniel quickly glanced at the light blue summer dress she had on and raised his eyebrows "Don't tell me your trying to pick up a guy" he whined and she pulled him out the door "Nah, but I don't have much" she added and he nodded and haled a taxi.
Daniel and Sam arrived at a restaurant that the general had booked them in to and got a table "So, what are we meant to do on this 'Holiday' I ask" Daniel said and she shrugged "Have a break, did you know that the sg teams will stress them selves out if they don't" she told him and he nodded "Well with what we put up with I can believe that" he said and they finished up there meal and Daniel paid "You're paying next time" he commented and she laughed "Since when" he asked "Since know" she teased and he opened the taxi door for her, she went in and he slammed it behind her and got in himself.
They arrived back at the hotel at twelve and made their ways up to their rooms "Night" Daniel called out and she grinned come through and we'll break in to the mini bar" she said and he chuckled "It's a date" he said going in to his apartment.
Daniel pulled on a pair on sweat pants but kept his Knicks top on, he opened the door on his side and walked through the small corridor and knocked on Sam's side, she opened it and smiled "Why Mr Jackson, come in" she said acting posh and he stepped in an slightly bowed "Miss Carter, I came to see you and as you can see I dressed up" he said and she smiled and curtsied and he took her hand and led her over to the mini bar, she opened it and took out a bottle of wine and a bar of chocolate, she pulled out two champagne glasses and put them on the table in front of the tv, Daniel sat down on the couch after turning on the tv and grabbed the tv controls, Sam sat beside him and pulled her feat under her "What's on?" she asked and he flicked through the channels and left it on a gory movie.
Sam poured them a glass of champagne each and broke up the chocolate and handed a glass to Daniel "There you go" she said and looked at the screen.
Daniel glanced at Sam and smiled and then turned back to the screen, Sam looked over at Daniel and snuggled closer to him.
Daniel looked at Sam who was snuggled up under his arm like she knew she was being watched looked up at him and smiled, Daniel smiled back and gently stroked her cheek, Sam slightly pushed in to his finger as it ran across her cheek and kissed it softly when it went past her mouth, she looked back up in to his bright blue eyes and sat up beside him, Daniel quickly stood and picked up his glass and put it in the small kitchen, Sam also stood and put the chocolate wrapper in the bin and smiled at him "Oh well, I better get some sleep" he said and she nodded and turned to go in to her room but turned back "Thanks for coming" she said and he nodded "Wouldn't dream about not coming" he said and hugged her, Sam wrapped her arms around him and breathed in deeply, she pulled back and stared in to his big eyes, she moved up slightly and he lowed his head to hers and kissed her softly, Sam opened her mouth so he repeated the gesture and kissed her deeply and wrapped his arms around her waist and she wrapped hers around his neck and pulled him deeper in to the kiss, after a minute Daniel broke apart and put his forehead to hers and caught his breath "Wow" he said and she smiled "Yeah, wow" she replied and kissed him again, he opened his mouth and she plunged in and slightly pushed him backwards towards the room, Daniel started to walk backwards very slowly and hit the closed door of the bedroom, he unwrapped one of his arms from her waist and put it behind him and rubbed it over the door until he found the knob and opened it but fell back on to his back with Sam landing on top of him, she smiled in to his lips and helped him up but continued to kiss him (Did you know that a kiss means more the than five minutes of talking? Oh sorry) Sam pulled Daniel's Knicks top over his head and flung it over the other side of the room, Daniel let his hands wander to Sam's back and undo her dress back and it dropped to the floor also.
O'neil leant against the wall and walked along the corridor to his room and searched his pockets for the keys, he opened it and stepped in nearly tripping over the table "I am soooo drunk" he said out loud and flopped down on his bed "Better apologise to Sam" he said and picked up the phone an dialled her number.
Sam grabbed the phone and lied back down on the bed next to a heavy breathing Daniel "Hello?" "Hi Sam this is O'neil" O'neil said "You're drunk" she said and she heard a small laugh from the end of the line "Yeah and your 'busy'" he spat back with a small laugh "Go to bed sir" she said and hung up, she turned back to Daniel who was asleep with the covers pulled up, Sam took his glasses off and cuddled up beside him and fell to sleep.
Daniel walked in to the base with Kat in his arms, she played with the side of his glasses and he smiled "What ya doing?" she asked looking at him with her five year old eyes "I work here" he told her and she nodded.
Daniel came out of the locker room and pulled on his jacket, he peered around the corner at Kat who was still bouncing the little ball against the wall "Hey your getting goo at that" he commented as she ran over to him, he smiled and picked her up, she immediately wrapped her legs around his waist and they continued to walk to the infirmary.
The two crouched down outside the room in which Dr. Frasier was in, she walked out "Boo!" Kat squealed as the doctor looked at Daniel Jackson and Kat "Good morning Kat" Frasier said cheerfully and then she looked up at Daniel "Good morning, how are you?" she asked full of concern "Me? Oh I'm fine" he said and looked down at Kat who was circling his legs, she looked up at him and beamed, she stood and hugged him hard "I love you, don't ever leave me" she said and Daniel crouched down to eye level with her, he lightly pushed her nose "I'll never leave you" he stated and the smile turned on again.
"Sam, Jack, Teal'c!!!" Daniel called out as he ran down the corridor, they turned and waited for him to catch up "Your late" O'neil pointed out "Yeah sorry" Daniel said catching his breath "That's okay" Sam said "But we've got a meeting with General Hammond" she added and Daniel groaned "What does the big bad wolf want now?" he complained and they all smiled "Well he wants…" Sam started but was cut in by some thing that was coming down the hall, it hit Daniel and he fell back catching Kat on his chest, he looked up at her scared face "What's wrong?" he asked crouching down to stay eye level with the sobbing girl "I couldn't find you" she said in between sobs "But I told you I had to work, and I had organised you to stay with Dr. Frasier" Daniel said and the little girl wiped her eyes, Sam looked at the kid, she had brown hair that was tied up with a rubber band she had blue eyes and a pretty face, the girl pulled her self in to Daniel's arms and his arms went immediately around her, the girl sobbed on his shoulder, Daniel stood picking her up with him "You know I'd never leave you, don't you?" he asked the girl who pulled back and nodded "Yes daddy, I'm sorry".
Sam's eyes widened and she felt dizzy 'daddy?' she asked her self, she turned and walked in to Hammond's briefing room.
O'neil stared at the two people in front of him "What the…" he muttered and followed Carter, Teal'c stood and looked like he always did.
Daniel entered the meeting room, Kat's hand slid in to his and he smiled down at her "Now Kat, I need to talk to these people, here's your ball, just play out side" he said and she nodded, General Hammond entered and O'neil and Sam saluted but Hammond ignored them and looked at Kat "Hello officer Kat" he said and Kat smiled brightly, she saluted and Hammond smiled "At ease" he said and she stopped saluting and put he hands behind her back "That's my girl" he said and patted her on the head "Run along now, I have to talk to your daddy" Hammond said and she nodded "Is he in trouble?" she asked and Hammond shook his head "No, sorry precious not today" he said and she ran out side.
"She's a great kid" the general said and looked up at Daniel who nodded "Well lets get to the subject at hand" Hammond said but O'Neil cut in "No sir, lets stay on this subject" he said and the general turned to him "What would you like to say Colonel?" he asked "Is this child why we haven't been able to go on a mission for a month" O'neil asked and Hammond nodded "Look you guys I'm sorry but we can go on another mission soon…" Daniel said and Sam stood "No we can't!" she shouted and Daniel looked at her "Because kids aren't a one month job Daniel" she added before he could say anything "yeah she's right" O'neil said "We're tied down cause of a kid" he said, Daniel tried to speak but was cut of again, O'neil turned to Daniel "A kid we didn't even know about" he said "But…" Daniel started but Sam cut him off "I thought you were our friend, now your just killing sg-1" she said and Daniel picked up a chair and threw it to the other side of the room, every one stared at him "If you would just listen to me I can explain every thing" he shouted "What's to explain!" Sam shouted back "Your just about sg-1!" she added "Kat has one month to live! I f you could lay off until then it would be worth it! Then you can go on you stupid mission!" Daniel shouted and stormed out of the room.
Every one looked at each other letting his words sink in, Sam ran after Daniel and O'neil just sat down.
Daniel walked in to the infirmary and spotted Kat over in a corner with he ball, he sighed, he hated it when the others would over react, he walked over Kat and tickled her, she spun around "Daddy!" she shrieked with joy and hugged him madly "Hey princess, lets go home" he said and she nodded "But what about work" she asked as he picked her up "I'll skip it today" he told her "Do we need any thing at home?" he asked and she looked around thoughtfully "Milk, butter and some Co-Coa pops" she told him "Well lets say thanks to the good Doc and get outta here" Daniel said, they met Frasier half way to the door "Thanks for looking after her doc" Daniel said and Frasier smiled while the little girl played with her hair "It was a pleasure" she said and looked at Kat "Bye Kat, I'll see you soon" Dr. Frasier said and waved, Daniel let Kat down and she took hold of his hand "Daddy, why were you shouting before?" Kat asked and Daniel looked at her "I had a little fight" he told her pressing the elevator button "Are you okay?" she asked and Daniel smiled "Yeah, just a little bit hurt" he said and she quickly looked him over "Daddy, your not hurt" she said and Daniel picked her up "No, I meant that some friends of mine hurt me with words" he said and she nodded "Do you want to go out for dinner tonight?" Daniel asked as they stepped in to the elevator and went towards the surface "No, can we stay at home and cook tonight" she asked as the person nearest the control hit the up button.
Sam watched from her corner of the elevator at how much Kat cared for Daniel, she smiled as Daniel let Kat down to the floor, the little got her ball out of her fathers pocket and started to bounce it, she lost control and it rolled over to Sam who picked it up, their were three other people in the elevator and they got off, it was just Sam, Daniel and Kat.
Sam handed the ball to the girl who smiled, she turned and walked over to her dad who hadn't spotted Sam yet, Kat tugged on Daniel sleeve of his uniform jacket "What's up princess?" he asked squatting down to eye level "That nice lady gave back my ball" she stated and Daniel raised his eyes brows, he turned his head and stared at Sam, she smiled and sat down on the elevator floor.
Daniel glared at her and Sam felt guilty 'I'm meant to support him not pick on him' she thought sadly, the elevator jolted and came to a stop "Shit!" Daniel muttered as he hit the controls, nothing happened and the weak emergency lights came on.
Daniel slumped against the wall and let himself slide to the floor, he groaned as he hit the floor, Kat sat down on his lap and put her arms around his neck and head on his chest, she slowly closed her eyes and drifted off.
Sam watched Daniel take off his jacket and take Kat off of his lap and lay her down on it, she mumbled but continued to sleep, Sam moved over and sat beside Daniel.
"Look, about before, I'm really sorry" she said and he didn't even turn his head, he continued to look at Kat "Daniel, we're all sorry about the way we reacted" she said but still there was silence "She's not my daughter" he mumbled "But I thought she was" Sam said and Daniel looked up at her and slowly shook his head, he took off his glasses and put them in a pocket "In my family in the only adopted child, I was also the second youngest, I had one older brother who got married and had one child, Kat" he said and Sam listened "He was heavily on drugs and alcohol and a month ago was in a car crash with his wife and daughter, both parents were killed but they managed to save Kat, she did have a brain tumour though. Kat knew me from the day she was born cause I was the only one ever to pay attention to her, two days after the crash I was asked to look after her, I said yes and a week later they found the tumour" he finished and his gazed went back to Kat "She calls you dad?" Sam asked and Daniel turned back to look at her "Yeah, poor kid never had much of a dad, neither did I, so we look after each other, she just started calling me that" he answered picking up the girl, she slowly woke up and curled around him "Don't get to much sleep or you won't be able to sleep tonight princess" Daniel said and she nodded stifling a yawn.
"Kat this is Sam" Daniel said and Kat looked up "Hi" she asked and stood up, she held out her hands and Daniel took them, she pulled him to his feet "One day I'll squash you" he said and she looked at him "Can't get me!" she squealed and he picked her up and tickled her.
Sam stood and watched the two, Daniel let Kat down who quickly ran behind Sam, Daniel stood in front of Sam and grinned "Move to the right…NOW!" he whispered and she jumped to the side, Daniel grabbed Kat at put her over his shoulder, the little girl continued to giggle, Daniel set her down and they both brushed their clothes "They Kat you still wanna cook tonight?" Daniel asked and the girl shook her head "Nah, you can" she said and Daniel smiled "Lets go out" he suggested and the girls face lit up "No dishes!" she screamed and Sam smiled "Must be related to you" Sam said and Daniel smiled "It would be our pressure if you were to come" he said and looked down at Kat who nodded eagerly "Well I don't know" Sam said, Daniel put on his puppy dog eyes and crouched down so he was the same height as Kat, they both looked up at her "Pleeaassee" they begged and she smiled "No, I don't think so" she said and Daniel picked up Kat "My shout" he said and she grinned "Okay it's a deal" she said and Daniel smiled "Daddy what's a shout?".
Daniel unlocked the door and let Kat go in first "Go in, if you can" Daniel said and Sam stepped in and looked at the apartment, Daniel walked up beside her "We sort of left in a hurry" he explained and she nodded picking up a doll, Kat ran up and jumped in to her fathers arms "Daddy can I change?" she asked and he nodded "You can change out of you overalls and put on…" he said and her face went thoughtful "Can I wear my jeans and blue top? She asked and he nodded "And what about your hair?" he asked and she got down "Can I please have it up?" she asked and Daniel turned to Sam "You won't think less of me as a man if I do her hair?" he asked and Sam smiled "No" and Daniel mouthed a thank you.
"Come on Kat" Daniel said taking her hand and walking towards the bedroom, he turned back and looked apologetically at Sam "Sorry, make your self at home" he said before Kat pulled him in to the room.
Sam smiled and sat down on the couch which was clean for once, she looked over at the closed door of the bedroom and wondered about what was happening in there.
Daniel pulled the sweater over her head and did the button up on her jeans, he stood up and looked down "There" he muttered as she smiled up at him "Thank you" she said before pulling herself up on to the bed, Daniel sat cross legged behind her and started to brush her hair.
Sam walked in to the bedroom and wished she had a camera, Daniel was sitting cross legged with Sam just in front of him, he was brushing her hair and she was looking back over her head at him "Hi, I thought I'd see if I could help" Sam said as she walked over to the bed and sat down, Daniel looked over at her "Thanks" he said and got up "You wanna brush her hair?" he asked and she nodded and sat down were he had been, after brushing Kat's long brown hair she was handed a hair bobble, she put Kat's hair up high and platted it.
Daniel pulled on a light blue top and grey pants he also grabbed his jacket and went in to see how the girls were doing "You guys ready?" he asked as he leant on the door frame watching them laugh, Sam looked up and nodded "I don't have anything to wear" she said as she looked at her camouflage clothes "Don't worry" he said and she shook her head "Can we stop by my apartment?" she asked and Daniel nodded "Sure, Kat come on" he said and his little girl ran up and wrapped her legs around hid middle, she moved to the side of his waist and grinned up at him "You want me to carry you?" Daniel asked and she nodded "Lets go" he added and opened the door, Sam exited and he locked it after them.
After stopping at Sam's place they headed off to a nice restaurant in the middle of the city.
They walked in a got a table in which they all sat down, Kat picked up the menu and tried to look like she was interested, she looked up at her dad who was looking at her "What do ya want?" he asked and she sighed "It's sooo hard" she said and he smiled, she crawled on to his lap so she could see over the table top, she sat on her dads lap and looked up at him, he tickled her "You want the normal?" he asked and she nodded quickly "Okay" he said and turned to Sam who had changed in to jeans and a top just before "Kat will have spaghetti, what would you like?" "I think I will have the same" she said and Daniel called the waiter over "One child meal and two adult meals of spaghetti and a small coke and a bottle of red wine" he added and the waiter took off to get their orders.
"This is a nice place" Sam commented and Daniel shrugged "Yeah, come here some times, at least it's not fancy at all" he said and she nodded "Don't like fancy places cause you never know what to wear" she said and he shrugged "I haven't got much so it doesn't matter", Kat pulled on her dads shirt to get his attention "Can I wash my hands?" she asked and Daniel nodded, Sam stood and held out her hand "I'll go with you" she said and Kat took her hand cautiously.
Daniel washed his hands and headed back to the table where Sam and Kat were laughing over something "What's so funny?" he asked as he sat down, Sam turned to him "She just told me that half the mothers of kids she knows already have a crush on you" she said between little grins "Kat, what have I told you about being mean" Daniel said turning to his daughter "I'm sorry daddy, know I remember what you told me" she said and Daniel nodded "And what was that?" he prompted and Kat sat up straight "Never talk about a person in front of them, but behind them is okay" she said and Sam laughed, Daniel turned to her "What?" he asked and she smiled "You too are so alike, that's all" she said quickly and looked up as the waiter came along.
"Here you go, one for the young lady and one for both the grown ups" the waiter told Kat as she smiled politely "What a beautiful daughter you have sir and what a beautiful wife also" he added and Daniel and Sam both cracked up laughing, the waiter quickly served up the plates and got away from them as quickly as possible.
Sam wiped her mouth and put her knife and fork neatly on the plate, Kat copied her and Daniel smiled "Was that nice Kat?" he asked and the little girl nodded, Daniel passed her a napkin and she wiped her mainly clean mouth "Thanks for dinner daddy" she said and he smiled "Daddy, can we rent out a movie tonight?" she asked and Daniel frowned "Oh come on! It's not school tomorrow, Pleeaassee!" she said and he smiled "Sure" Kat's face suddenly got a mysterious grin on it "Can Sam come?" she asked and Daniel frowned "Honey I'm not sure, Sam does have her own life" he said and the little girl turned her eyes to Sam "Pleeaassee" she begged and Sam smiled sure "If that's okay with your dad" she added quickly glancing up at Daniel who shrugged "Yah!!" Kat let loose and got up, Daniel and Sam followed and walked up to the front desk, Daniel paid and they headed off to the video store.
"How about this?" Daniel asked holding up the jungle book, Sam and Kat both scrunched their noses up and Daniel put the video back "Well, I would go for an action but I don't think you'd like it Kat" he said as he looked the selves over "Dad I don't mind, I just wanna spend some time with you and Sam" she said as she looked the selves over from his arms "How about this?" she asked holding up Independence Day, Daniel shrugged "Why that one?" he asked as he let her down "Cool cover" she answered and walked over to Sam "Have you seen this?" she asked and Sam crouched down and looked at the cover, Daniel watched as she shook her head and realised the two females in front of him were also his favourites, he shook off the thought and borrowed the video.
Daniel sat down heavily on the couch and leaned back, he closed his eyes and started to dose of when Kat jumped heavily in to his lap, she smiled at him as he half opened his eyes, Sam walked over after putting the tape in and stood in front of them "May I?" she asked and Daniel smiled "Don't be so polite. Sit down" he answered and Sam sat beside him.
Kat's eyes were on the screen "Daddy why are the aliens attacking?" she asked half asleep, Daniel stroked her hair "They want earth" he answered looking at her adoringly "Oh, that's okay then" she replied and curling up his arms, she let her eyes close and went to sleep, Daniel turned to Sam who was watching them "It's ten, she's asleep, I'll put her in the bed" he told her and she nodded turning the movie off, she stood and followed the other two in to the bedroom.
"Can I have a story" Kat asked as she let Daniel pull the covers of the double bed up, Daniel sat down on the edge of the bed and she grabbed his hand "You're awake?" he asked surprised and she nodded tiredly "Yeah, but I would like story" she added and he smoothed her hair back "What about?" he asked and she shrugged "Some thing magical" she said and Sam sat next to Daniel "Okay, There was once a lady who when she was a child found a Stargate" Daniel said and Kat listened closely "And…" she prompted and Daniel smiled "Well she got this guy to figured out these keys and they opened it" he said and Kat opened her eyes "Then what?" "Well, they stepped through the gate and travelled to different dimensions" he said and she closed her eyes again and yawned "What happened next?" "They had lots of adventures" Daniel finished and tucked her in but she was already asleep.
"She likes that story" Daniel explained as they sat back down on the couch, Sam nodded "You tell her it every night?" she asked and Daniel nodded "Yeah, she always wants it" he said and Sam wrapped her arms around her self tightly as they both watched the movie, Daniel turned towards her and noticed a shiver go through her body "You cold?" he asked and she nodded "Sorry, Kat's got all the blankets in my bed" he said and she nodded "Don't worry" she said and turned back to the screen, Daniel watched her for a second until he sighed and opened his arm in an inviting embrace "Come on in" he said and she smiled gratefully and snuggled in to him, Daniel wrapped his arm around her and they watched the end of the movie.
Sam opened her eyes and slowly looked around, she tried to sit up but couldn't for there was an arm around her, she lay back on Daniel's chest 'we were lying on the couch and must have gone to sleep' she thought and closed her eyes enjoying his warmth that he gave her.
Daniel opened his eyes and looked down on the sleeping figure of Sam lying next to him "Sam, Sam wake up" he whispered and she stirred slightly, she opened her eyes lazily and looked straight in to his "Sorry, we must have fallen asleep" she said quickly not daring to pull away from his eyes "No, it was my fault" he said and she smiled and rubbed her eyes but then she looked straight back in to his, she edged upward and he moved slightly downward, eventually their lips met and all the passion they controlled was let out, Daniel broke away and sat up "Sorry, I…I should check on Kat" he quickly said and stood and walked quickly out of the room, Sam sat up and put her head in her hands "I am soooo stupid" she muttered to herself until she finally decided to leave.
Daniel walked out of the bedroom with a sleepy Kat in his arms, he walked in to the tv room and found no Sam 'must have gone home' he thought and shrugged, she put Kat down and started to get her breakfast.
Kat pulled herself up on to one of the kitchen stools and started to munch away on her fruit loops, she glanced up at her dad who seemed to be staring out to nowhere "Dad, where's Sam?" she asked and he turned to her "She went home" Daniel answered and Kat looked down at her cereal "Oh" she said and Daniel's head jerked back up "Why?" "I just wanted to say thank you, that's all" she answered and got down from the stool "Can I ring her?" she asked and Daniel nodded "Her numbers under 'C' do you want help?" he asked and she shook her head and found the number, after she rang the number she waited until the sixteenth ring and then hung up "She's not home" she stated and pulled her self back on to the stool.
"Daddy?" Kat said and Daniel looked up from were he was pulling on his uniform shirt "Yes" he said and tucked the green shirt in to the camouflage pants, Kat looked at her toes and took a deep breath "I love you" she stated and his face lit up "I love you to, why did you just say that?" he asked and she slowly walked over to him "Cause I don't feel to good" she said quietly, she walked half way to him and collapsed.
Daniel ran a hand through his hair and walked down the corridor to the main lobby of the hospital, he walked up to the desk and waited for the lady to get off the phone "Yes sir?" the lady asked finally but Daniel couldn't say a word before the phone rang again and the lady answered "Excuse me!" Daniel said getting annoyed and the lady glared at him "I'm on the phone!" she hissed and Daniel turned away, a nurse walked past and he grabbed her arm "Excuse me" Daniel said and she kept on walking, he sighed getting frustrated and started to walk down the medical corridor, a doctor ran up to him "Excuse me sir but your not allowed in here with out a…" he started but Daniel cut in "I'm looking for…" Daniel got out before the doctor cut in "I don't know, please go back to lobby" he said before continuing to walk the other way, Daniel groaned and walked back in to the lobby were the lady on the phone laughed in to the receiver "Yes, so honey what do you want me too cook for you tonight?" she asked the phone and Daniel started to fume.
O'neil ran down the corridor, he had come as fast as possible after getting Daniel's message the kid sure had sounded stressed so he had come, O'neil entered the lobby and saw Daniel rip the phone cord out of the wall and throw it, Daniel stormed back to the lobby lady and hit his fist down on the desk "Are you going to listen now?" he demanded and the lady nodded getting scared "Where is Katrina Jackson?" Daniel asked gritting his teeth "Room 22" she answered and he turned in that direction and started to jog down the hall.
O'neil ran to catch up to him "Daniel what was that back there!?!" he demanded and Daniel glared at him "Not now O'neil" he snarled and O'neil grabbed his sleeve and stopped him from walking "What is wrong?" he asked sternly and Daniel pulled out of his grasp and continued to walk, O'neil fell in to step with him as they entered a small room where they found Kat hooked up to millions of machines.
Daniel drew in a sharp breath when he saw Kat, he quickly rushed to her side and ran a hand through his hair, O'neil came up beside him "You feel helpless don't you?" he said and Daniel nodded "I've got to go, Sam's gone away but I left her a message" he said and Daniel turned to him thankfully "Bye" he said as O'neil headed out to door.
Daniel sat outside Kat's room looking at the wall, he hadn't eaten or slept for two days and O'neil had gone home yesterday and Sam had told Hammond she was going away for a while, he put his head in his hand and cursed.
Sam walked quickly down the hall until she reached the lobby "Where is Katrina Jackson?" she asked and the lady looked up sharply "Would you be able to get the father out, he's like a hawk, hasn't eaten or slept in the last forty eight hours I'd say" she said and Sam nodded "So what room?" Sam asked "22" Sam took off down the corridor.
When Sam came around the corner and spotted Daniel sitting outside a room, a few metres away he looked up in surprise "Sam" he whispered and he stood, she walked up to him and hugged e wrapped his arms around her and held her tight, Sam held him close and let him hug her 'Poor guy' she thought as he pulled back "What's wrong, I got Jack's message but it didn't say much" she said and he nodded, he walked in to the room and folded his arms and looked sadly at the bed, Sam walked in and tears came to her eyes when she saw the young girl "Oh Daniel I'm so sorry for not being here" she said and he looked sadly at her "No, it was my fault" he said and pulled her to him, she started to cry on his shoulder "Shhh, it's okay" he soothed and she looked up at him "No it's not, she's so young" she said and tears welled up in her eyes again, Daniel wiped them away and they sat down out side the room again.
O'neil came along the corridor and stopped outside the room, Sam had gone home an hour ago and Daniel still refused to leave, he entered and Daniel looked up "Hi" he said sadly, and O'neil smiled and produced a large teddy bear from behind his back, he put it on the table next to the girl and took a seat beside his friend.
"Why don't you go home and have a shower?" O'neil suggested and Daniel turned to him "I had a shower here" he said and turned back to the bed "Then I'll get you some fresh cloths" O'neil said and Daniel smiled to the best of his ability "Thanks" he said and O'neil stood, "Get a coffee, come back up and I'll bring some cloths" he said and patted Daniel's arm "It'll be all right buddy, just have faith" he said and Daniel nodded standing up "Thanks".
Daniel got the coffee and sat down at one of the hospital cafeterias, he took a sip and scrunched up his face, a lady walked past him and smiled "It's not to good is it?" she commented and Daniel looked up, he focused on her face cause he didn't have his glasses with him, they were at his flat "Yeah, what are they trying to do, get more patients" he said and she chuckled and sat down opposite him "So what are you doing her?" she asked and a sad looked crossed his face "Family member" he said and she nodded "My husband had a little heart ache, not to serious but enough for him to get to the gym now" She said and Daniel nodded finishing off his coffee "Your in the military?" she asked and Daniel decided to stay put and have a talk "Yeah" he answered and ordered another cup of coffee "You must work up at the base, on the mountain" she said and he nodded not wanting to give away any information "At least your job would be interesting, I'm a school teacher" "That would be an okay job" Daniel said and she shook her head "No money involved, I only really stay for the kids. You military people would get a fair amount of money" she said and Daniel grimaced "Well, yeah. We risk our lives and don't have time for a family so the money's not worth it" Daniel answered while receiving another cup of coffee.
"If you don't have time for family you wouldn't have much of a life" she said and Daniel nodded "What's your name" the lady asked "Daniel, what's yours?" he asked and she smiled "Mary O'donal" she answered and extended her hand across the table, they shook hands and continued their drinks.
Kat opened her eyes and found her self surrounded by people "Who are you?" she croaked out and they turned to her, a nice looking women took her hand to calm her down "Your in the hospital honey but don't worry your getting better" the nurse said and Kat glanced around "Where's my Daddy?" she asked and she nurse looked puzzled "He went to get a drink".
O'neil came down the hall and sat next to Daniel at the cafeteria "How's it going?" he asked and Daniel turned to him "This is my sixth cup" "That bad huh?" O'neil said and Daniel nodded "Well, I brought you some clothes of mine from the base, they were the closest thing to your size" O'neil said handing Daniel a green military bag "Thanks" Daniel replied and headed off for the showers.
Daniel pulled on the big jeans and grabbed a belt out of the bag, he pulled on the black top and his military jacket, he grabbed the brush and did his hair to the best of his ability "Shit, wish I had me glasses" he muttered out loud and then backed up all his old gear and headed back to O'neil.
Sam was sitting where O'neil had been when Daniel came back "Hi Daniel, you look better" she commented and he smiled "Hi great to see you, where's O'neil?" he asked and Sam shrugged "He had to go" Daniel nodded and quickly hugged her "Great to see ya" he said and then they headed towards Kat's room.
Kat looked up when she saw her dad enter "Daddy!" she shouted and jumped out of the bed and into his arms, Daniel hugged her hard and then looked her over, a doctor came in and smiled "Excuse me sir, but can I have a word?" he asked and Daniel nodded picking up Kat "Kat, Sam will watch your for a minute okay?" Daniel said and Kat nodded, Daniel handed her to Sam who smiled at the little girl.
Daniel's smiled faded when he turned to the doctor who motioned for him to exit the room "What's wrong?" Daniel asked and the doctor cleared his throat "Kat was expected to die in a week, we have run tests and we have found out what exactly is wrong" he said and Daniel groaned and rubbed his tired eyes "What's wrong?" he asked and the doctor sat down "Kat seems to have an allergic reaction to pollution" he said and Daniel's jaw dropped.
"How can someone be allergic to Pollution?!?" Daniel shouted and the doctor stood "We don't know, we'd like to keep her here and do some tests to see if it's contagious, we've never had a case come in this early into the dying stage so we'd like to 'experiment on her" he said and Daniel's looked calmed "What sort of tests?" he asked "We want to remove a part of her brain to experiment" the doctor said and Daniel got enraged "That'll kill her!" he shouted and the doctor nodded "We know but she is dying anyway" he said "You want me to say 'yes' to experimenting on my daughter?!?" Daniel asked in disbelief, the doctor nodded "Fuck you" Daniel answered as he turned and walked back in to Kat's room.
Daniel took Kat out of Sam's arms and grabbed his bag and Kat's, Kat clutched to his neck as he picked up the bags "Where are we going Daddy?" she asked "Home" was the answer she got as he pushed past to doctor and headed to the exit.
Sam watched the scene and looked astonished at the doctor who was now running after Daniel, Sam took off to.
"Please sir, reconsider" the doctor said as he attempted to keep up to Daniel, Daniel turned and put Kat down "I said no, I mean no" Daniel said threatily and the doctor glared at him "Your making a mistake!" he hissed and received a fist in the jaw, the doctor grabbed his jaw and stumbled back and on to the floor, Daniel picked up Kat and she wrapped her arms around his neck "No I'm not" Daniel said and walked out of the hospital.
Sam helped the doctor up and then ran after Daniel, she ran in to the car park and saw him take of his military jacket and crouch down to eye level with Kat, he put it over her P.J.'s and scruffled her hair, he stood and she took his hand in hers and Daniel watched the taxi come over to them, Sam ran over "What is your problem?!?" she demanded, Daniel turned to her and let his eyes burn in to hers "Lay off" he hissed and helped Kat in to the car, he did her up and climbed in next to her, he gave the directions to the driver and they took off.
Sam went home and changed and then got in the taxi which headed off to Daniel's.
Sam opened up Daniel's apartment with his spare key which he had given her and entered, she smiled and walked over to where Daniel was lying on the couch with Kat snuggled up on top of him.
She bent down and lightly kissed Daniel on the lips, she pushed some hair out of his eyes and removed his glasses and put them on the small side table, she picked Kat up and put her in Daniel's bed and then set to the task of waking Daniel.
"Daniel, daniel please wake up" she whispered and he stirred slightly, she shook his slightly and he opened his eyes, she almost fell in love with him all over again but if your in love with some one you can't fall in love with them again "Wow. Close encounters of the 3rd kind" he spat out as he sat up and put on his glasses, Sam took a step back a bit hurt but then realised that she had just woken the poor man up from his first sleep in days.
"Sorry Daniel but you'll hurt your back and don't worry Kat's in bed" she said and sat next to him "Thanks" he whispered and put his head in his hands, Sam moved closer to him and put her arm around his shoulders and slowly spoke "What's wrong?" "She's allergic to pollution" he said and Sam frowned "Can they do anything?" she asked and Daniel shook his head "Then why did you hit the doctor?" she asked and Daniel's head returned to his hands "No one has ever had a live subject with this disease type thing and…" he started and looked up at her, she noticed his eyes were sparkling slightly "They wanted to experiment on her" he said and Sam looked astonished "They can't do that" she said and he nodded "But they were going to" he said and stood, he walked in to the kitchen and searched through a cupboard for a minute, he pulled out a coffee jar and turned to Sam "Want some?" he asked and she came over "Yeah thanks". Daniel put four heaped spoons in one mug and one and a half in the other, he added the water and gave the one and a half one to Sam "You're not going to drink that are you" she asked staring at the extremely black cup of coffee that Daniel held "Yeah, why not" he answered and a look of disbelief came across her face "You put four heaped spoons in that!" she exclaimed and he looked at the mug and then back at her "So…" he said and she took the mug out of his hands and had a sip, she screwed up her face and swallowed Yuck!" she said and Daniel smiled and took the mug "If I'm going to stay away I'll need some thing strong" he explained and she nodded and got a drink of water.
Daniel jerked up suddenly from were he had been sleeping on the floor, he wiped the sweat beads of his forehead and lay back on the floor, he had let Sam take the couch and Kat was in his bed.
Daniel got up and walked in to the kitchen bare footed, he rubbed his bare arms cause he only had a singlet and a pair of sweat pants on, he grabbed the coffee and put the jug on.
Sam opened her eyes and looked over at the figure that was sitting on the kitchen bench cross legged, she walked over and stood in front of him.
"Daniel you all right?" Sam asked and he looked up "Yeah, just thinking" he said and she pulled her self up beside him, she took his hand in hers and squeezed it "Talk to me" he said and she let his arm wrap around her shoulder, she hugged him and stayed like that for comfort "What do you want to talk about?" she asked leaning against him "Anything" he answered and she thought for a second "Do you miss Sha'uri?" she asked and he looked down at her "No" he answered and Sam raised her eyebrows "But she's your wife" she said and he nodded "First few days were hell but I've always been independent and I think it was just a faze" he said and Sam nodded "Happens" she commented after a minute "Yeah but I only realised it after Teal'c told me that once you're a Gou'ald you can't escape" he added and Sam slowly slipped off to sleep in his arms.
Daniel easily picked up Sam and carried her to the couch and lied her down, he smoothed back her hair and kissed her cheek, he sat down and rubbed his forehead "I wish I was in the beautiful Abydos weather right now" he muttered to him self and then quickly stood up, he shook Sam and she awoke "What's wrong?" she demanded sitting up "I've got it" he exclaimed and she shook her head "Got what?" "Abydos, beautiful weather, no pollution" he said and she looked puzzled "Are you okay?" she asked and Daniel nodded "Think about it, Kat needs a none polluted planet, Abydos isn't polluted" he told her and she nodded "But if you were to take her there, you would have to leave" she told him and he looked at the ground "No, Daniel, you are not staying there!" she exclaimed and he smiled weakly "You read me like a book" he said sheepishly, Sam took both his hands and put them on her lap with hers holding his there "Daniel, Daniel looked me in the eye" she said and he slowly turned his head towards her, once she had eye contact she begun to talk "Please, it's a good idea but not for you, you live here and you don't have the time to change living ways again, she has her whole live but you don't" she said but continued before he could say anything "I couldn't bare to live with out you" she admitted and he looked startled and slightly backed up "Oh shit, I shouldn't have opened my big fat mouth" she said and looked away from him, she stood and headed for the door, but was grabbed by the arm.
She turned around to see Daniel stopping her from going "Daniel don't, now let me go or…" she said sternly but didn't have time to finish before his mouth met hers, she pulled back and cocked one eyebrow she grinned and went on tippy toes so she was his height and kissed him deeply.
Daniel pulled back after a minute and put his forehead to hers "I love you" he whispered and Sam smiled "I love you too" she answered and he grinned and kissed her quickly "I think it would be best for now if we deal with the problems at hand like Kat but I promise you that we'll talk soon" he said and she nodded "One for the road" she added and he smiled and kissed her, when they broke apart she sighed and grabbed her coat "Bye" she said and opened the door, Daniel shoved his hands in his pockets and walked up to her and kissed her cheek "Yeah bye" he said and gave her a lopsided grin, Sam kissed his cheek and left the apartment.
Daniel sprinted in to the base and hit the 'down' button on the elevator, the doors slid open and he waited until they opened again to reveal the busy corridors of the base.
"General Hammond" Daniel called out as he entered the office, Hammond looked up "Yes doctor Jackson?" Hammond asked and Daniel sat down in front of his desk "Sir, I think I know how to cure Kat" Daniel started and Hammond leaned forward "Sir, she is effected by pollution there for if you could allow me to take her to Abydos…" Daniel said and Hammond cut in "You want to dump her in Abydos?" he asked in disbelief and Daniel looked at his feet "Sir, I don't want to but if it's her life on the line then I want to do it" he said and Hammond nodded "You know I can't do it" he stated and Daniel glared at him "You can't or you won't?" Daniel shouted and stood "Dr. Jackson you know how much I like Kat…" "Shut up! If you cared for her you'd let me do this!" Daniel stated and Hammond stood "Jackson, you would loose her" Hammond stated and Daniel nodded "I could leave her with the people of Abydos and she'll be safe as sound, she'll catch on to their language quickly sir" Daniel said and Hammond sat down and pressed the intercom "I want a mission to Abydos tomorrow" he told the securactary and turned back to Daniel "I think you should go pack and spend time with her while you can" he said and Daniel nodded and left the room, Hammond turned back to the paper work "Stubborn boy".
Daniel pulled the back pack out of the cupboard and went in to the bed room where Kat was playing with Kat, Kat looked up and threw her self in to his arms "Where are we going daddy?" she asked and Daniel sat down and put her on his lap, Sam stood and left the to talk.
"Kat, you're sick" Daniel started and she nodded "I know" she said and he stroked her forehead "Sweety, I've found a cure" he said and her eyes lit up "Kat, remember the story about the StarGate?" he asked and she nodded so he continued "Well it's true" he added and her face lit up "My job is to go through it and find new worlds" Daniel told her and her face dropped "You lied" she stated and his face showed how much pain she had just caused "No, I wasn't allowed to tell any one" he corrected and she glanced at the door "Does Sam work with you?" she asked and he nodded "There's one planet that I lived on for a while that isn't polluted and if you would like I'll take you there and you can live with some of my friends" he said and she looked at her feet "Will I ever see you again?" she asked and looked up at him with her big eyes "Of course I will!" Daniel exclaimed and hugged her madly "Every month I promise to come" he added and she smiled "Then lets go".
Kat looked at the StarGate in awe and pulled on her back pack, she walked over to her dad who was pulling on a waist holster and put the gun in.
He bent down and picked her up, she wrapped her arms around his neck and perched on his side waiting for the gate to open, when the liquid leapt out Kat yelped but Daniel held her close "It's okay" he told her and she nodded trying to be brave, O'neil went through first and then Teal'c "You guys ready?" Sam asked and Daniel turned to Kat who nodded, Sam went through and it was only Kat and Daniel left.
Kat reached out from were she perched on Daniel's waist and touched the cold liquid "Cool" she muttered and Daniel smiled and turned to the control booth which held General Hammond who saluted them and Kat and Daniel returned it and then stepped through the liquid.
Kat held her breath as they stepped through the liquid and in to the weird tunnel, after they left the gate the gasped for air and clung to her dad "It's okay Kat" he soothed as he stroked her hair and she slowly calmed down.
Sam walked up to Daniel and Kat and smiled "How was that Kat?" she asked and the little girl smiled "Scary" she answered and Sam scruffled her hair, Daniel set her down and took her hand "Let's go" he said and Sam took Kat's other hand and they headed of towards the village.
When they finally could see the village the five sped up and soon reached the stone walls, Kat's arms went straight around Daniel's neck and she pulled her self close to him, Sam watched Kat and Daniel and wipe her eyes "Come on Daniel" she coached on and he nodded sadly and knocked on the big door, it opened a crack and when they saw who had knocked it opened fully and people rushed out to greet Daniel.
After Daniel had explained to the elder about Kat and they had agreed to look after her there was a giant feast, Sam walked over to Daniel who was sitting cross legged looking out at the sandy hills, she sat beside him but still didn't get his attention, she took his hand and he turned to her and smiled weakly "Don't worry" she said and he looked back out over the land "Can't help it" he admitted and she leant her back on his shoulder "You'll be a great dad some day" she said and he leant against her and squeezed her hand "She'll be fine, you do know that don't you?" she asked and he nodded and turned to her "She's going to live with Skaara's father" he said and she nodded and looked at the scenery.
Daniel hugged Kat one last time and then turned to leave but was grabbed by the sleeve, he turned and crouched down "What's up?" he asked "Here" she said and pulled a neck lace from her neck, she gave it to her dad who looked at it and handed it back to her "You keep it" he said and scruffled her hair "Visit" she said and he nodded "I promise" he said and stood, he looked up at the elder who stepped forward and took Kat's hand, and they watched the sg-1 head of across the desert.
Daniel put in the seven symbols and watched the liquid appear, Sam, O'neil and Teal'c all went through and it was just Daniel left, he turned back and looked at the sand hills, a hand came in the liquid and pulled him through, back to his world.
