Episode 1
"Pilot"
-- At the begining of the 10th grade, Dawson and his best friend, Joey, battle with the knowledge that their lifelong friendship may be changing due to the raging hormones of a teenager. Adding to Joey's confusing emotiuns is the arrival of the radiant Jen, who appears to be "the girl next door," but has an air of mystery surrounding her as she harbors a dark secret from her past. Rounding out the group is Pacey, sarcasm sucomes to his over-confident knack for stumbing awkwardly unprepared inot adult situations
Episode 2
"Dirty Dancing"
-- Dawson casts new girlfriend Jen as the new lead gal in his movie, to try to become closer. But a dumb jock gets in the way by asking Jen to the school dance. Dawson goes to the dance with Joey to try and win Jen back, but it backfires and he ends up making a fool of himself in front of Jen and Joey. At
the end of the evening, Jen forgives him, and explains that she likes how she and Dawson are moving slowly. Meanwhile, Joey confesses to Dawson's mother that she knows about the affair, she is having with Bob her co-host and Ms. Jacobs and Pacey share another kiss on the dock.
Episode 3
"A Prelude to a Kiss"
-- Dawson's dream of a perfect, storybook first kiss with Jen may finally be coming true, but his plans may not go according to schedule when Jen discovers a secret that breaks up the romantic moment; at school, Dawson has the opportunity to join the film class as a silent observer, but can't keep quiet when he sees the film is in trouble; Joey finds herself swept away by a visiter, an attractive, wealthy preppy whose family has docked their sailboat in Capeside; and Pacey and Ms. Jacobs, continue their realationship.
Episode 4
"Carnal Knowledge"
-- On the day of Dawson's parents' twentieth wedding anniversary he spots his mother with another man. Later, Dawson turns to his best friend Joey, rather than his girlfriend Jen, when he needs a friend to confide in about his suspicions. Upon turning to Joey he feels betrayed when she confesses she has known about his mother's dishonesty. Jen finally reveals to Dawson her dark past about her life in New York. By his surprise reaction, Jen feels like Dawson is slipping away and turns to an unlikely source for advice. Meanwhile, Pacey and Ms. Jacobs continue to grow closer but they are having a hard time keeping their tryst a secret after Dawson's budding film career captures their romance on videotape.
Episode 5
"Blown Away"
-- When the Leerys, the Potters, Jen and her grandmother are confined to the Leery house during a hurricane, temperaments run high when Dawson angrily confronts his mother about her affair; Gail confesses the error of her ways, shattering Mitch's world; and Jenos grandmother exchanges acrimonious words with Bessie and Bodie about their relationship and their unborn child. Meanwhile, across town, Pacey and Ms. Jacobs struggle to keep their emotions under control as they weather out the storm in her house with Pacey's older brother.
Episode 6
"Look Who's Talking"
-- As Joey's sister goes into labor at the Leery household, Joey turns to Dawson for help when her sister's anguish floods her with memories of her mother's death. Jen must put aside her religious differences with Gram, who must overcome her own racial judgements, when they are the only ones left to deliver the baby. Meanwhile, when rumors of Pacey's closeness with Miss Jacobs' begin to spread, the school board calls for an emergency meeting to decide her fate.
Episode 7
"The Breakfast Club"
-- After committing various violations at school, the gang gets stuck together for an 8 hour Saturday detention, where Dawson and Pacey turn against each another; and Joey offers a tearful partial explanation for her anger toward Jen. Jen tells Dawson how strong her feelings are for him. The best episode so far!!!!
Episode 8
"Escape from New York"
-- Jen's ex-boyfriend from New York shows up to try and win her back, and much to Dawson's dismay it appears to be working, Pacey talks Joey into going to a beach party where she drowns her meloncoly in alcohol, and Gail and Mitch slowly continue to work on repairing their marriage. A near excellent episode that leaves you wondering what is going to happen next episode.
Episode 9
"In the Company of Men"
-- Dawson, Pacey and Jen's ex-boyfriend go out on a road trip, to help Dawson forget about the recent breakup. Meanwhile, Jen and Joey do this female bonding thing as they plot revenge on a jock that has been spreading a little rumor around the school. This has been second only to "The Breakfest Club", this was an excellent episode great sound and great ending that makes you wish it was a 2 hour show.
Episode 10
"Modern Romance"
-- Meloncoly over his break-up with Jen, Dawson is the mastermind of a double date, but when his date uncovers his plot, they join forces to obtain their desired dates which leaves all four going in circles. Meanwhile, Joey and Pacey are patners in a project to prevent pacey from failing biology, but when Pacey confesses his new discoveries about Joey to Dawson, it makes Dawson begin to confront his own feelings about his childhood friend.

"Pretty Woman"
-- Joey enters a local beauty competition to earn money towards her future education; meanwhile, Pacey enters the pageant on the grounds that he is as qualified as any female contestant. Dawson is enveloped by confusion when Jen confesses her regrets about breaking off their relationship and Joey unburdens her heart.
Episode 13 (Season Finale)
"Breaking Away"
-- Dawson must come to terms with his feelings towards Joey when he finds out she may be leaving to France; Jen and Grams come to terms with their differences, as Jen continues to miss Dawson's company.
