By The Sea

If it's solace I need, or quiet I seek
There's only one place that I retreat

To see the sky of yellow and blue
Surely an artisits dream come true

To feel the warmth of a gentle breeze
That carries away my troubles with ease

To hear the song of the bird in flight
Merely a shadow in the sun's distant light

To watch the waves of a quiet sea
As they ripple along with uniformity

So by the sea is where I'll be
For closer to God...then I'll be
