I stare in wonder at the young man I see
What happened to the baby God "loaned" to me?
He's grown up so fast, and I am in awe
Of the young man I see, and the baby I saw
The young man I see is handsome and shy
With a wonderful smile, and intelligent eyes
The little boy I remember was that way too
From that little boy child, this man grew
The young man I see, has a gift so rare
One that's he's almost ashamed to share
The boy that he was. was that way too
From that little boy artist, this young man grew
The young man I see is destined to be
A man who is gifted and strong, you will see
His talent and grace will help him, I know
From the young man before me, a great man will grow!
