City lights glimmer
Upon the water of the bay
And speak to me in silence
But, what do they say?

As they silhouette the sky
To make the darkness glisten
Offering answers to those
Who know how to listen

Rainbow lights sparkle
Through the absence of time
Uncovering the shadows
Cast upon my mind

I nod my head in accordance
But cannot say a word
As they stand in rows of silence
So thankful that I heard
