World Of Confusion

In a world of confusion
Is lasting peace a mere illusion?
It seems there's little doubt
When nations keep lashing out

There is prejudice of race and creed
Jealousy,hate and endless greed
Diseases are raging everywhere
Pollution fills our water and air

There still are those who face starvation
Illiteracy and deprivation
In an abundant world there still will be
Many who will suffer needlessly

Countries are caught up in the race
Seeking ways to conquer space
What can all of this be worth
When there is so much yet to fix on Earth?
