Winsor Mccay from 1905-1912. Nemo is a German word for nobody or nothing. The title of Mccay's strip was "Little Nemo's adventures in Slumberland". The comic tells the story of a young boy named Nemo who travels to slumberland and has marvelous adventures in his sleep. Throughout his adventures Nemo meets many fascinating characters such as Flip, King Morpheus, Oomp, and the Slumberland Princess. At the end of each comic Nemo wakes up and usually falls out of bed.
The stories of Little Nemo have also been made into a Broadway musical, a video game and a movie.
