It was late at night, or early morning for it is hard to tell
time in
space. A lone space craft flew on its
silent journey. The ship was a silver color and looked
farmilliar.
Almost too farmilliar. On the side
was initialed one thing: SkyBird 2416.
Inside, the ship only contained two ducks. The pilot was asleep.
He had
his feet on the dash board;
and above that was a blinking red light with the name: Auto
Pilot. He
wore a Han Solo/Indiana Jones
type outfit and black biker gloves on his hands. It was obvious
that he
was short and skinny, but his
face was never revealed.
The other passenger was a girl. She was very tall, thin, and
wore a
dress with a unique type of boot.
She had on a long, black cape that hung down to her heels. She
had smoke
grey feathers, raven
black hair, and beautiful emerald green eyes. On her belt, she
carried a
saber.
The girl had begun to get tired and tried waking up the pilot.
"Hello?
Excuse Me? WAKE UP!!!"
"AHHHHH!!!!!" The guy screamed. He jerked up, but his seat belt
was on
tight causing the process
of inertia and gravity to combine repelling him backwards into
the
chair. "Ohh, this is gonna leave a
bruise. Oh, hi sis. What's up?" "What's up to you it should be.
I'm sick
of this! You broke your
orders and now we've been traveling through space trying to find
a
stupid little...stop mocking me!"
The younger duck shrugged his shoulders. Suddenly, the girl
jerked up.
"Look a planet!" "Well, I think we should use the radar before
we get
there sis." "I don't think there's
time man." "Why?" "'CAUSE WE'RE GONNA CRASH!!!" The guy jerked
up. The
engine was
malfunctioning as they were plumeting towards the earth below.
"HOLY...I
DON'T EVEN HAVE
ENOUGH TIME TO CURSE!!!" The guy yelled. He pulled frantically
at the
steering control but
nothing was working. The girl starting screaming, "WE'RE GOING
TO DIE!"
"Not if I can help it.
We're going in." The rocket headed straight down to the planet,
catching
up in a ball of fire. The
outer atmosphere struggled to keep the rocket from entering the
planet's
atmosphere. It held on as
the gravity pulled down, and down, and down and then let go.
It was a warm night in Anaheim. 25 year old, Duke L'Orange stood
out in
the starry night. He
looked at the stars near the place where the Dimensional Gateway
took
them. A lone star was there.
He sighed and dropped his shoulders, his laser eye sad. A small
drizzle
fell down. He knew the sky
was crying for his loss. Nose Dive walked up to him slapping him
hard on
the back.
"Hi-ya Duke!"
"Get away before I slice you to smitherines!"
"Aww, I know you'd never do that."
"Well then, maybe you'd like a haircut instead?"
"AHHHHHHH!!!!"
Nose Dive ran away screaming. The others ran out. Duke snickered
as the
younger 17 year old
panicked.
"Nose Dive, what happened?",his older brother Wild Wing asked
concerned.
"He's gonna cut my hair!!!"
He ran behind Wing. Duke started snickering and then every one
was
bursting out laughing.
"You care more about your hair than me and my hair!'' Mallory
said.
"What? I'm too cute for a haircut!"
This comment set every one cracking up. The raining had stopped
now.
Nose Dive walked away
looking very pissed.
Suddenly, Nose Dive looked at the place Duke was looking before.
He
shook his head before
looking up again.
"Hey Tanya?"
Grin spoke out "What? Asking her to make you a chemical to make
you
always *Cute*?"
Every one cracked up. Wild Wing fell on the ground because he
was
laughing so much.
"Tanya, when is it meteorite season?"
"Duh, not for another month or so."
"Well, I have a riddle for every one. What's big, round, fire,
and heads
toward a planet?"
"I dunno" Came a chourus of ducks.
"Well, I don't know either but here it comes!!!"
Four hundred feet away, a ship crashed sending the ducks flying
in the
air...
On the ship, the pilot lay thrown to the ground. The green eyed
duck
landed on top of the pilot's
chair. The pilot jumped up.
"Sis? Sis? Sis wake up!! Can you hear me, sis?"
"That's half-sister to you!!!"
"Oh ****!"
The girl tried stangling the shorter guy. She grabbed him by the
shirt
collar and lifted him in the air.
"Good thing you're so skinny and light. It makes it easier to
beat
the **** outta you!!!"
"Sister, now please be reasonable. And...oh no!"
"What now?"
The two looked out of the window of the SkyBird 2416. They were
on a
planet and the plane was
in wrecks.
"Hey, this looks like Puck World and Correllia, although thanks
to a
certain pilot brought us there."
"Hey, we liked Correllia. It was a planet where we could
speak..."
"I know that you idiot! But why'd we have to go to 14 other
planets?"
"Hey it coulda' been the one. Besides, we needed food..."
"We were almost food to the creatures of Guatanyia!!!" The guy
paused.
Sighing he looked down.
He wasn't going to win this argument to an older pissed off
half-sister.
He looked out the window at
the SkyBird.
"Oh no...the SkyBird's not mine. It's Jake's."
"Ooh, you've gotta lot to fix. That's another year on a weird
planet."
"Hey, I've had enough of this!!! Why don't you try to fly an
Attacker
plane!!! I'm getting fed up with
this." He stepped out of the plane onto the wing.
"Hey kid. I'm sorry and I...watch out!!!"
The wing started breaking. The guy yelled as it fell down. He
started
falling. The green eyed girl took
her grapling hook. She attached it and swung down, grabbing the
pilot
just in time. The pilot held on
to his sibling. She had saved his life.
"Now I'm really glad you weigh 80 pounds!"
"I do not! I weigh 85 and a half pounds."
The two swung down on the ground. In the distance, they saw the
ducks
comming.
"Oh my g**. It's them!"
"Duck!" The girl yelled.
"Where? Yeah I see..."
"Not that kinda duck!"
The two ducked down under the plane as the ducks walked up. It
was
obvious the ducks didn't see
them.
Duke looked up at the plane. He read the name and gasped. "No,
it
couldn't be..." He thought as he
read the name. He had sworn that was Jake's plane. Jake haad
been his
partner in the Brother Hood
of the Blade. Jake was also Duke's apprentice. Although he was
younger
than Duke, the two were
good friends until the suprising disaperence of the boy.
He thought about all of the ducks he knew. Wild Wing stepped
under the
other wing.
"Well, it looks like a Puck World ship. The passengers cant be
far."
The two hidden ducks held their breath.
"Should we show ourselves to them. I mean, Duke's there and he's
our..."
"Shh," The girl whispered back.
Suddenly, a creaking noise was heard. The wing was breaking. It
would
fall on Wild Wing!
"LOOK OUT, WILD WING!!!" the guy yelled in a high pitched voice.
The girl pushed him out of the way to be covered by the wing.
The guy
tried to run out, but was
grabbed. Turning around, he saw Siege, Wraith and Camillion.
"Lord Dragaunous sent us to get you. We found your transmitter
and our
device."
"Oooh, you sarian scum. Flees have bigger brains than you. Let
me go
before I whoop your *****
so hard that..."
Camillion grabbed the guy and covered his mouth. They tied the
guy and
Camillion transported away
carrying him over his shoulder. Siege and Wraith ran to the
wing.
"Quick, before the ducks get here from messing with Wild Wing."
Siege spoke. They took the wing and carried out the girl. Siege
was
putting in a droid in place of the
girl.
"But Siege, that's the wrong duck."
"Oh, who cares? Now lets go!"
They teleported away as the ducks ran up.
Wild Wing ran towards the ship. 'Whoever was here saved my
butt!' he
thought.
Looking up at the others, he spoke solemly, "It's a Puck World
attacker.
I know because Canard
taught me about them. We have to find the passenger!"
"Uhh, did the thought ever occur to you to check under the
wing?" Nose
Dive yelled.
"What the......?"
The ducks ran over to the wing. An arm was sticking out from
under it.
"Holy **** that has got to hurt!" Duke muttered.
"Grin, get the wing."
Grin struggled to pull it up, but he did. A girl duck was there.
She had
brown hair and silver eyes.
She smiled at Duke. He gasped and shook his head.
"The Passenger's a BABE!"
"What? You...you're not! What are you?"
"Hey Duke. Long time, no see."
Duke paused a second. He shook his head and started questioning.
"So kid, how's your sister?"
"Oh, she moved away from home, got a new job, got a boyfriend."
"Oh really? Is that so? Well, uhh, how's your father Anton?"
"Oh, Dad's great! All of the VanDrake's are."
"Forgive me for asking but, how's Jake?"
"Jake?"
"Jake Charmante? You know, in the smuggler's added the De
infront of
Charmante so it'd be Jake
DeCharmante?"
"Ohh, yeah. Him. He's great! His girlfriend, Tara, is soo nice."
Duke stepped back. He looked at Dive.
"Can I borrow your blaster?"
"Sure Man, why?"
A bang arose as Duke pulled the trigger at the silver eyed girl.
Meanwhile, at the Raptor, Camilleon, Siege and Wraith were
watching the
pilot. The girl was loose
in her jail cell but the guy was chained to the wall in his. He
was
cursing words not meant to be typed
and really pissing the henchmen off.
"The prisoner is getting on my freaking nerves!" Wraith
complained.
"SHUT UP!!!" Camilleon yelled. The guy continued annoying him.
"The pilot's more annoying then Camilleon!" Siege complained.
"And I thought we just didn't need Camilleon." Wraith agreed.
"And I thought you berriluim breath baboon cross Godzilla turds
wouldn't
be stupid enough to put a
droid out. Duke'll know in less then a second."
"You got that right, kid." The girl yelled.
"What's all the racket in here?"
"Oh ****!" The guy yelled.
The girl held her breath as Lord Dragaunous walked in.
"Good work, now we need them to talk."
"NO!!!!!!" the henchmen yelled. "We cant even get him to shut up
his
******* beak!"
"Naughty, naughty you sweared!" The girl screamed.
"I'll talk to them later. The younger one is giving me a
migrane!"
Dragaunous walked out with his goons.
The guy whispered. "So lets split the joint. Hey, can you help?"
"Was I the Great Lady smuggler for nothing? Here I'm coming."
In two minutes, the two were on their feet. The guy rubbed his
wrists.
He had been chained to the
wall by his wrists and was off of the ground which hurt a lot.
The two
went up to the window. They
were skinny enough to slip through. Getting out, the girl looked
behind.
"Suckers! Well, we're free..."
"But still have a mission to complete."
The two walked together towards the SkyBird 2416.
The ducks stared through the smoke. It hadn't cleared up yet.
Dive
looked sick and Mallory
disgusted.
"You murderer! I knew former Jewel thieves were up to no good."
Mallory
sneered.
"Hey, I was a Smuggler not a...Murderer?"
"You shot an innocent duck!" Wild Wing said.
"Innocent duck?"
"And She was a BABE too!"
"NOSE DIVE!" Every one yelled.
Dive shrugged his shoulders. Duke started talking again.
"Any one checked the body?"
The ducks looked where the smoke cleared up. Pieces of metal
were thrown
everywhere. The
ducks realized it was a droid. Mallory looked embarassed after
confronting Duke. Nose Dive still
shook his head. He was dumbfounded by being fooled by a droid
replica of
some duck.
"Wow, wish I could find the duck who this was made after."
"So do I...WHAT WAS THAT?"
"What was what Duke?" Wild Wing asked concerned.
"I heard something." Tanya then spoke up.
"Hey, on our coms, they aren't working. It looks like something
is right
over behind us."
"Bad Karma." Grin said quietly as he turned around.
Two ducks stood there. The girl stepped up and looked at Duke.
The two
gasped.
"Duke!"
"Mara!"
"HUH?" all of the ducks said synchronized.
Duke held the girl's hand. The ducks noticed her weird outfit
with a
cloak and saber.
"Guys, meet my girlfriend, Mara Jade."
"GIRLFRIEND?"
"Howdie-haw!"
"So Mara, why are you here?"
"Uhhh, well. Later Duke. If I got into this the show'd expire."
"Oh, Duke, still the same, I can see." The guy sneered.
Duke walked up to him. Duke was half a foot taller than the duck
in the
hat.
"Forgive me for asking but, who are you and how the he** do you
know my
name?"
"Ohh, forgot about me, I see. So where's Canard?"
Wild Wing gritted between his teeth, "He's trapped in
Dimensional
Limbo."
"Ohh, too bad. I guess what's left is the Mighty Canard
Fan club!"
"Get HIM!!!" Wild wing yelled.
Wild Wing charged the pilot. The pilot just put his weight on
his back
leg. When Wing was close
enough, he leaned back and Wild Wing flew over his head. Mallory
and
Tanya charged at the same
time to be checked. Grin even got flipped. Duke stood with Mara
and Mara
whispered something to
him. He gasped and slapped his head. Nose Dive charged and got
flipped.
Every one was down
except Mara and Duke.
"Wow, seems like Canard's team wasn't as good as expected. Maybe
next
year they'll learn how to
apply the force, or make that the Shwortz."
The guy didn't see Dive get up. Using all of his strenth, Dive
charged
towards the guy. Spinning around, the guy came in contact with
Dive.
Dive knocked the guy down and pinned him.
"Alrighty then, lets see what's under your hat."
He ripped off the hat. Brown hair fell down. Amber eyes peered
up at
him. Dive gasped.
"A girl?!" Every one yelled.
She looked nervously up at Dive. Her expression changed to
fieceness.
"Would you mind getting off of me?"
"What? Oh, sorry miss."
Dive held out a hand. After pausing, the girl took it to help
her up.
"I'm Nose Dive Drake Flashblade."
"Amber Lorraine VanDrake. (after a long pause) Mara's my
half-sister."
"Oh, wait a sec. You're the duck who the droid was made of!
Except your
eyes ain't silver." Mallory yelled holding her Puck Blaster
towards
Amber. Amber just held up her hand in a motion to put down the
weapon.
"Unfortunately yes. I...I got captured once. They made droids of
me for
the future just incase they
should use them, like today."
"Hey sis, don't worry." Her older sister said reassurring.
Wild wing spoke up. "Well now I have to say, it's great to see two new members of
the
ducks."
The two looked up.
"But we might have to work on your attitude towards Canard."
The whole team burst out laughing.
Dive smiled at Amber and said, "Congrats team mate!"
"Thanks Dive."
Mara looked at Amber. "Amber, is this a cr..."
"ECHUTA!!!"
The ducks laughed at Amber as she sputtered off in a stream of
another
launguage. She later
explained this was Correllian. The ducks walked home with the
invaders.
Amber turned to Dive and
spoke,
"Even though I just met you, I think this is the begining of a
new
relationship."
Dive put his arm around her shoulder.
"You know, I think you're right, Invader."
The two walked together to the pond, a new relationship had
begun and
the Invaders had arrived.
