He used to be in the Brotherhood of the Blade as a Blade Brother. So he is trained as a thief in the Blade. But he's a Bounty hunter, one of the best in the Universe. He used to wear a double of Wildwing's armor for several years before he came to Earth and joined the Ducksquad team. He now wears a hunter green bodysuit with black pouches filled with the proper equipment for a thief and an assasin and a bounty hunter.

His girlfriend is Street McMallard, a.k.a. Katie, the younger sister to Mallory McMallard.

He uses a withdrawable sword when he was with the Blade, which he uses to this day and a normal sword (when he was a bounty hunter) and various other weapons. Darkwing uses swords more than any other weapons around. Though, he does have a fast shot and a very good aim. He's not originally from Kaladan's dimension, his family The Nightshades lived in the Negaverse. When Darkwing was no more than a couple of months old, his family was butchered by the father of Cain and Shasta. Darren on orders from Kasar, saved the life of Darkwing. But to give him a better life, Darren took Darkwing to Puckworld so he may have a mortal life. He found Mr. and Mrs. Blackblade and gave Darkwing over to them to raise and made them promise not to reveal anything about where Darkwing came from.

Years later, Darkwing finally learned the truth about who he is and accepted his heritage as a Nightshade. Darkwing's Revelations.
