--Name: Elaine Sarah McGoslyn
--Sex: Female
--Age: 17
--Rank: Junior
--Appearance: Elaine is a delicate, petite duck with white feathers and strawberry blonde hair. Her hair is like corn silk and tame, flowing softly to the small of her back, and her bangs look exactly like the Little Mermaid's. Her eyes are the most striking of her features; they are shaped like dew drops and have well groomed, angular lashes. They are a light gray color, that seem to shine like the sun. In fact her beauty rivals Lana's and perhaps when she's older, she will be more beautiful than Lana. Everything about Elaine is sweet and delicate...but her appearance is a facade: She's athletic and fast.
--Attire: When Elaine first met Lana, she was in a satin ice blue dress and dolled up like a princess. But now that she's a member of the Brotherhood, she wears a brown-gray tank top, mid-drift showing, khaki green shorts that look like an archeologist's, gray finger less gloves, and a gray leather band on her right arm. She has a brown-gray choker like Lana, and brown gray socks that go up to her mid calf. She has white and gray track shoes, and a brown-gray belt with a gold buckle, like Lana.
--Weaponry: As a junior, she handles the typical puckblaster, but she's known for her bolas and grappling hook aim. Elaine loves to throw things like blade edged stars and has excellent aim with anything she can whirl, throw and latch. And her gymnastics background comes in handy with all her flips and kicks.
--Accent: A gentle Caltec
--Personality: Elaine is innocent as they come with a gentle heart and
love for the arts. She's a bit of a book worm and loves to read and
write poetry, in fact, most of Lana's new ballads are co-written by
Elaine. Elaine loves all life and thinks that every life is a precious
one. She does a lot of thinking and often spends her time daydreaming.
However, she lives for laughter and thrives on the romantic. She
believes it's about time that Lana and Cody get together, and Duke and
Leila spark a romance as well. But, she hardly voices her opinion
unless it's about morale. She is the complete opposite of Lana, and one
would question why such a small flower would team up with such a
raunchy, outspoken and wild woman like Lana...However they have a bond
that surpasses sisterhood, and Elaine is rarely away from Lana's side.
In fact, Lana often teases the girl with her irreverent wit and causes
the shy Elaine to go from white to ruby red in seconds. But, Lana
treats Elaine more than an associate, more like a sister friend that
she never had, and Elaine alone can bring out the softer side of Lana.
Elaine joined the Brotherhood because of Lana, and she believes in
preserving the art and backbone of society, as the Brotherhood thrives
to do. She is a little afraid of robbing people, but since she is such
a perfectionist and lives to be on the dot, she is a fast learner, and
is slowly getting use to it. However, she refuses to kill anyone and is
eternally trying to get the killer out of Lana. Elaine is the voice of
what's right in the world of the Brotherhood.
--History: Elaine is the daughter of Caltec billionaire and Ambassadors,
David McGoslyn, and Molly McGoslyn. She lived in the socially elite
world of Sin City, living like a princess, receiving pack back lessons
and gymnastic lessons and piano lessons and wearing the finest of
fashions. But Elaine has felt trapped her whole life, with a mother who
values none but the socially acceptable, and fine backgrounds of
others. Her father owns tracks and tracks of land all over Puckworld,
and is a hearty, happy man who loves to count his billions, throw gala
events, pack ride, drink whisky and spoil his only daughter. Elaine has
a particularly close relationship with her "daddy" and a hard one with
her mother. In fact, the one thing that Elaine misses about her past
life is her father.
Elaine has always been quiet, and one of the only ways she expresses
herself is through her poetry. She writes beautiful, heartfelt lines
that touch everyone who read them, and she only shares it with three
people: her father, Lana, and Lyric. Elaine is a fantastic pack rider,
and it is one of the few things in her wealthy existence that bring her
joy. Whenever her mother and herself got into an argument, she would
gallop off into the country side. But now that her family lives in Sin
City, she is miserable.
Lana Emerald is her Mentor although she isn't Lana's apprentice. They
are extremely close, and to the first sight of a stranger, one would
think one word: lesbians. But they each are far from that prejudice.
Elaine is very straight edged and far from allegations of any kind of a
sex life, and Lana...well she fraternizes with the enemy of her
feminist regime. But Elaine needs Lana, because she is now without a
family and any kind of friends. Except for Lyric, who Elaine cherishes
as a good friend. But Elaine didn't always hit it off with the
Brotherhood. Her father is a known enemy of the Brotherhood of the
Blade, for he speaks at rallies that abhor any kind of thievery. So now
that she is a member, he feels that he has lost his most precious
treasure to the world of sin.
But Elaine secretly has been stealing files from her father's guarded
collection, showing them on the internet as a way of revealing her
father's heinous decisions in matter of state. She feels that though
she loves him with all her being, his acts against the poor and
troubled are terrible. So the lower levels of society get a heads-up,
along with the greedy eyes of millions. She has betrayed her father
and mother in doing this, but she feels that people have a right to
know. She hasn't revealed this, until she was brought into the
Brotherhood. So Lana and she team up in hunting and tracking, Elaine
being a little experienced in secret files. So she's not as innocent as
she seems...
Lana was initiated into the Brotherhood by capturing Elaine. Elaine
was at her coming out Caitlin ball, where she was quite miserable,
being the center of attention by a ballroom of snobby boys and
superficial girls. Lana hid on the grand balcony, and when Elaine was
alone, she seized her, drugged and gagged her and stole the young girl
away. At first Elaine was terrified and all she wanted was to go home,
but as she got to know that this was the famous Lana Emerald-Black
Widow to the Sin City natives-she became a little thrilled to think
that such an meaningless girl would be captured by the Lana Emerald. At
first Lana was cold and calculating about the whole capture, acting on
business motives and getting her job done. But as the chase started,
and the two got to talking, they discovered that they liked each
other...Lana let her go at the last possible second, not returning to
the Lair with her prize, for she realized that terrorizing Elaine was
not worth it, and would just take not being a member of the
Brotherhood on her failure to bring back Elaine. But Lana left an
address card with Elaine, with the words " Tomorrow night-be here".
When Lana returned to the Lair, Leila said that she passed the test,
and she would be dubbed Saber Student for showing humanity to a hunted
victim for the first time in her career. A month later, Lana met Elaine
alone at the meeting place and asked only one question: " So, you want
in to my world?"
And Elaine simply replied "yes."
--Likes: Animals, poetry, pack riding and romance...and her father.
--Dislikes: Killers, greed, and being the center of attention, also being completely ignored. (She wants a happy medium)
--Overheard: "Lyric and Lana are the only ones I trust here, Leila. Please don't hurt me."
Elaine: "You're the Black Widow, right? Don't you kill all your male
victims?"
Lana: "No, darling. I kiss them first then I...dispose of them. Be it
death or I just get rid of them."
Elaine: "How can you live with yourself?"
"You want me to...sing? I can't I can't I can't! They'll all laugh at me!"
"Don't ever kill what was made by the higher power."
Elaine: "You know, I think deep down, You're a little like me, Lana."
Lana: "If I'm lucky."
--Other: Doesn't play Hockey, because she refuses to be that aggressive. But she skates very fast and is surprisingly athletic. Can't sing a note on tune if her life depended on it. Has a bit of a crush on Nosedive.
