Future projects
If you've seen any of my previous work, and like it, you might be interested in what I'm up to in the near future.
The Tempest -
A re-telling of Shakespeare's play as a 3D animated film. I've already made five minutes of the movie as a kind of trail (watch it here), and I'm anxious to raise the funding to complete the project
Untitled Film -
Extending the style of filmmaking I explored on "Moving" (watch it here) I'm planning to start work as soon as possible on a no-budget feature relying on strong characters, improvised dialogue and a documentary approach to filmmaking (inspired more by Mike Leigh than Blair Witch)
Lawless Actions -
A drama set on board an environmental protest vessel. I'm currently looking for a production company to take the project on. (synopsis here)
The Elves Must Die -
A low budget surreal horror movie centred around the annual apocalypse of Christmas. (Synopsis here)
The Desktop Filmmaker -
I'm working on a book for Collins & Brown on desktop filmmaking - covering all aspects of production from scripting and planning a shoot right through to post production and effects. Look out for it in the UK and the States in 2000.
The Food That Went Off -
written by me and Samantha Paul. A radio comedy series in which all the main characters are vegetables. It's been optioned by Celador Productions who have commissioned a script for episode 1 and are currently negotiating for a slot on BBC Radio 4.
The Darwin Station -
a book about evolution and its study. Explored through computer generated images of life on another planet. (images here) Currently looking for a publisher.
CV
