The film starts where all the mutants learn of their powers : Storm is in Africa when she causes a rain shower, Cyclops is doing drugs in a public toilet when his eyes go blood shot and he blasts a hole in the wall and so on.
Wolverine will be the main character. Magneto wants Wolverine so as he can make his own mutants more powerful.
The climax to The X Men takes place ontop of the Statue Of Liberty with Sabretooth and Wolverine going head to head, while the rest of the mutants are fighting down below.
Like most movies, the good guys win, and in the last scene Wolverine pulls on his official suit.
This is taken from the 1st script, and I'm sure the plot will stay much the same, but there may be some small changes
