Though I can't say what will be in the next film or the ones after that, I can try and figure out what will be in them. Though there will be some rumors and speculation here, I will do my best to put everything together in order to make sense of it all, through books, interviews, etc.

Who is Owen Lars? What is his relationship to the rest of the Star Wars characters?
Some actually believe that Owen and Beru Lars are actually Luke Skywalker's real Aunt and Uncle. However, they are not. According to the Essential Guide to Characters, Owen Lars is the brother of Obi-Wan Kenobi. He married Beru, and later began his career in moisture farming on the planet of Tatooine. He only took Luke under his care to protect him from his destiny, but eventually failed, when Owen purchased C-3PO and R2-D2, who were being sought out by the Empire. Stormtroopers finally caught up with Owen and Beru, and mercilessly killed them, leaving Luke to follow his destiny.
Will we see Owen Lars in future Star Wars installments?
Maybe. There is still little known how Lucas will introduce Luke and Leia. They may not even be introduced until Episode IV, but I think Lucas will still show the relationship of Owen and Obi-Wan somewhere in the films.
