The ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW!

Film Synopsis

Technical Difficulties always strives to be the best (laugh riot!) and so we're presenting a Synopsis of the Rocky Horror Picture Show for those of you who may not be fully familiar with the ins and outs (and ins and outs and ins and outs...) of the film.
WARNING: If you've never seen this film before, you should know:

    What its all about:
All of the action is follwed by a narrator, the Criminologist (Charles Gray), who is striving to solve the mysteries surrounding the events of the film. He guides you through the story:
After attending their friends' wedding, Brad Majors (Barry Bostwick) and Janet Weiss (Susan Sarandon) become happily engaged and decide to visit the high school science teacher who introduced them. Unfortunately, they suffer a blown tire in the rain and must find shelter in a nearby castle known as "The Frankenstein Place."
There they meet Riff Raff (Richard O'Brien) the butler, his sister Magenta (Patricia Quinn) the maid, and Columbia (Little Nell), a "groupie" who seems to have no reason to be there at all - but can really tap dance! As chance would have it, Brad and Janet have arrived for help on a "very special night," as the master of the castle is hosting a party for an odd group of people - the Transylvanians
The master of the house soon appears and offers the young couple lodging for the night. He is Dr. Frank N. Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite mad scientist who is preparing to unveil his masterpiece.
Brad and Janet are then treated to the unveiling - Frank has created a young man, Rocky Horror (Peter Hinwood), a beautiful blonde of few words and many muscles whom Frank hopes will satisfy his sexual urges. The joyous birth of Rocky is interrupted briefly by the appearance of Eddie (Meat Loaf), Columbia's ex-lover whose brain was partially amputated to provide for Rocky. Frank quickly kills Eddie, and the party resumes, ending with a wedding march for the Doctor and his Creation.
After the festivities, Brad and Janet are led to their separate rooms, where Dr. Frank N. Furter seduces them one by one. Meanwhile, Riff Raff releases Rocky from his chains and chases him out of Franks' bedchamber - the first of many disloyalties the butler will reveal.
Later, a guilt-ridden and frightened Janet searches the castle for her beloved Brad - only to view on surveillance camera her fiance in bed with the evil Dr. Frank. Heartbroken, she soon discovers the equally truamatized Rocky Horror hiding in his birth tank, and the two of them find themselves in passion's embrace. Janet has obviously developed a liking for such immoral behavior.
Frank-N-Furter is very upset - his new playmate is missing, and now his castle door is being knocked at once again, this time by Dr. Scott (Jonathan Adams) a rival scientist whose appearance inturiates Dr. Frank N Furter. When Brad reveals that this Dr. Scott is the very same high school science teacher that he and his fiance were planning ot visit, Frank rages and accuses Brad and Janet of being spies.
Dr. Scott enters the castle. The meeting between the two doctors is tense and spiteful and it is evident that they have great dislike for each other. Dr. Scott then inquires as to the whereabouts of his nephew Eddie, whom of course Frank himself murdered earlier that evening. Before anyone can explain, Frank finds Rocky and Janet together, nude. Stressed beyond imaginings, Dr. Frank N. Furter curtly invites all present to attend a formal dinner wherein all the comfusing details will be sorted out.
At dinner, both Doctors make shocking announcements - Frank reveals that Eddie is not only dead, but has been cooked and served to his guests. Dr Scott announces in turn that Frank and his household are all aliens from a distant planet, Transexual. Dr. Scott, Janet, and Brad try to escape, but Frank uses alien technology to turn them into stone, along with Rocky and Columbia, who have become disobedient to Frank's ever-more-insane plans. Magenta and Riff Raff take the opportunity to demand that they return to their home planet - their experiments on Earth have gone on long enough. Frank, however, unwisely ignores them and plans a "floorshow" featuring his stone-frozen guests.
The "floorshow" goes beautifully, a true drag queen's dream come true, and Frank sings about his life's philosophy - "Don't Dream It, Be It!" But they are interupted - Riff Raff and Magenta, weapons in hands, announce it is indeed time to go back to transsexal. Frank at first believes that these plans will include him, until Riff Raff explains: this is mutiny, and Frank N. Furter will not survive.
Riff Raff kills Frank, Rocky, and Columbia, sparing only the lives of those unfortunate unexpected visitors, the young couple and their science teacher. The three innocent victims escape, and the castle carries Riff Raff and Magenta into the stars, back to their planet of Tanssexual, Transylvania, where they long to be.
Brad, Janet, and Dr. Scott, however, are changed forever by their experiences, beaten, betrayed, and painfully aware of the temptation of sin, and how closely they came to death.

    General Info:
Released on Sept. 25, 1975, it has been playing continuously ever since in theatres around the world. It is the longest-running movie in cinema history!
Film directed by Jim Sharman. Produced by Lou Adler and Michael White. Written by Richard O'Brien, all songs written by Richard O'Brien, based on the play by Richard O'Brien, and of course Richard O'Briend stars as Riff Raff...hint hint, Rocky Horror fans REALLY like Rickard O'Brien!
The movie is 100 min long, and rated R for some stupid reason - it has very mild adult themes, minimal cartoonish violence, one drug reference, two scenes with exposed female nipples, and the "F-word" (you mean FUCK??????) is uttered a grand total of.. once.
To make up for this lacking, audiences around the world are screaming Fuck, along with much more, every week, accompanying the film with live dancing, singing, screaming, and more!

What's it all about??? Two possibilities: Be like Frank, or.. Don't be like Frank.
Well which is it? It seems that the movie is actually against immorality, decadence, and promiscuity, as Brad, Janet, and Dr. Scott are ruined by their experiences at "the Frankenstein Place." Frank's quest for pleasure backfires and ends in his death, and Brad and Janet mourn their lost innocence.
Luckily, if this is indeed the point of the film, most viewers ignore this, which means they have a lot more fun!
