C-3PO
C-3PO is a protocol droid whose primary functions are etiquette and translation, although he also seems to have been fitted with extensive personality modules, allowing him to experience emotions and feelings almost as much as the humans and aliens with whom he interacts. Perpetually paired with the astromech droid R2-D2 (Artoo-Detoo), the droid team had experienced many adventures before coming to Tatooine. Unwillingly drawn into Artoo's quest to find Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO was captured by Jawas and sold along with Artoo to Luke Skywalker. This meeting with Luke led to many adventures with Luke, his friends, and the Rebellion.
