Ok...so now I guess that it's time to talk about myself...well, first of all, you may have noticed that unlike most of my other pages that this one is not yet formated. Ah well...guess I'm just not special enuff! (j/k!!!). Anyways, about me: First of all, my name is Esme, which makes me a GIRL. Now that that that's clarified, I'm 18 years old and live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It's a very nice city and I think that all you tourists should come and visit. I go to a French school (yes, I speak French) downtown called 'Le Collège Français'. It's an alright school, but tiny compared to Jarvis Collegiate, the school I went to for grades 9-11. I'm currently taking my OAC's (that's grade 13 for us Ontario High School students). I'm Social Convenor of the Student Council, and Co-Editor of the Yearbook, Invictus. In case you didn't know, this is my first web page...it's pretty fun to do, although I hope that I won't turn into a computer geek (lol). Actually, I'm quite proud of this website, I think it's turning out pretty good :) Last summer (1998) I worked at 2 places: the SkyDome and HarbourKids Camps. At the SkyDome I was an Usher for the Toronto Blue Jays. It's probably the easiest job I will ever have, and the pay's pretty darn good. I 'direct' people to their seats and answer their questions, meanwhile I get to go to every home game which is a bonus 'cause I love baseball. Until this year I played ball...now I have no time :( Last year I was on three teams: Jarvis Collegiate's softball team (my old school...we came 2nd in the city...I HATE MALVERN!!!!!!!), Dundas Rep Baseball (the people on that team were kinda weird), and Martingrove Softball (the team I was on for the longest.)). Anyways, working for the Jays is cool, but what really sucked is that the Atlanta Braves didn't come to town this year (they're my favs...don't try to convince me of anything else 'cause I won't take it!!!'). Anyways, the other job at camp was pretty swell, although the pay is crummy. Last year I was at Camp by the Water which was fun, but this year I was converted to baseball...wich was way fun...in a different sort of way. Let's see, what else can I talk about?...My interests...Sports: I've already mentioned baseball, Blue Jays (home town favourites), BRAVES, Hockey is the true sport, and the Maple Leafs are the only real team...I hope the Red Wings choke next year (and every year)...the CFL is football at is purest, none of that NFL crap for me...go ARGOS!!!!...I met Mike 'Pinball" Clemons once, he was the coolest, oh...I don't really like basketball or soccer all that much, although the soccer guy from Brazil, Reynaldo (the one at the end of the Nike commercial), is pretty damn cute. Basketball is too wimpy. They get a little elbow in their side and they get to take a foul shot. Maybe it's 'cause some of my friends love basketball and that's ALL THEY TALK ABOUT (hint, hint...), so I've completely turned against it...Next topic: TV shows. Well, I can't truthfully say that I have a favourite TV show, but I can tell you the ones that I love/enjoy/hate. I love Cybill, although it's been cancelled (which totally sucks). They are just soo funny! I also enjoyed Ellen while it was still on, there was this episode where she got some new neighbours and they thoguht he was a freak...it actually made me laugh out loud!! I must admit that I still watch Beverly Hills 90210 on a failry regular basis, eventhought they're probably 40 years old by now. I think Dawson's Creek sucks and could never sit throught a whole episode. I love the old Degrassi Jr High and Degrassi high shows, although I wish that they would stop showing the same rerun after another...the characters are sooooooo stylin'!!. I love the Simpsons too, just can't understand how anyone couldn't. I hope to have a Simpsons site up sometime this summer (come back and check for it!) The X-Files are cool, but I don't really like the boring ones (ie Scully has Cancer...etc.) My mom think that they're all really scary because it plays 'spooky music'. No Leonardo DiCaprio, please. I have yet to see the movie Titanic and can honestly say that I am not planning on doing so. My favourite movies of all time have got to be, no questions asked, THE STAR WARS TRILOGY. No denying it! Point final. I just can't say enuff about it, so I won't even start. You just might be asking yourself: "What kind of music does this girl listen to?". Well, mostly hip hop and rap. Some of my lateset CD purchases as of November 1998 (that I really like) are: DMX, Big Pun, Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z and a few others...(I forget). I wanna get the new Method Man, Redman, Noreaga, and Busta Rhymes soon. I also enjoy certain songs from various types of music such as the swing song by the Brian Setzer Orchestra. Other interests of mine include Ancient Egypt. It's fascinating, and so are ancient Hominids and Hominoids, etc, etc...(no, I'm not Indiana Jones...!). They'll be an Egypt site up here as soon as I can make it good enough. Well, Ithink that's all I'm going to leve you with for now...have fun searching my site...and Please sign my Guestbook!!!
