A wide variety of cactus can be found
Up the Cuchara river, we came across a beaver dam. The pictures to the right and the lower left shows the lodge.

The donkeys to the right were on a farm in the Cuchara valley. The deer were at Great Sand Dunes National Park.

This herd of antelope were just outside of Walsenberg.

The pinon pine has beautiful little cones, with pine nuts that taste great.

The cactus come in all shapes and sizes.
