On the second day we hung around on our land. Well away from the road
is this little valley with a dry creek bed. |

I love the way the wind has been wearing away at this hillside. Harder
rocks embedded in the sandstone each wear away at the rock, leaving them
in their individual depressions. |
The rock in the picture to the right was one that fascinated the kids
when we brought them here in 1998. They called it "saddle rock".
Take a look
at their picture on this rock. |

Michael went climbing around the hills. |

While I set up camp in the little meadow in the sunshine and worked on
a cross-stitch project. |
The following are some of the views he could see from the second ridge. |
