We drove north from Gardner, parallelling the Sangre de Cristo Mountains
on the east side. This range includes several 14K peaks. Tomorrow we'll
see these from the west side when we go to the Rio Grande valley |

| Past the Wet Valley you come to the Arkansas river. The rock formations
along the river was beautiful. |

| The Royal Gorge was beautiful. We didn't go across the suspension bridge,
since the admission price was pretty high, but we enjoyed the county park
next to the amusement park and took in the view from above the gorge. |
