'Border' is based on the Indo - Pak war that took place in 1971.

It's difficult to recite the story without giving too much away. It revolves around the individuals that suffered as a result of the war and the hardships and turmoil that innocent people had to face due to so much upheaval.

How the war is won and how people suffer as a result of it form the basis of the movie.

Verdict

Technically the film is fabulous. Obviously a lot of money and effort has gone into the technical aspect of this movie.

The performances by Sunny Deol & Sunil Shetty are really good. The major highlight of the film is Akshaye Khanna. This lad is all set to go to places. From the actresses, Pooja Bhatt makes an impact but the rest go unnoticed in 'if you blink, you'll miss 'em' roles. Jackie also disappoints performance wise. The music is outstanding with numbers like 'Ke Ghar Kab Aaoge' & 'To Chalun'. For a change Anu Malik has come up with something fresh and original.

All in all a classic though.
