Granis

There are things which come into your life at the right moment and stay there forever. They may be friends, books, writers, footballers or other sportsmen, movies and actors. On this site I mention a number of actors, names that I took to my heart in my early youth. In different ways they have all made a lasting impression on me. It may be a certain role or movie, or an actor's personal appearance and charisma. Unfortunately, most of the actors are unknown to most moviegoers, even if some of them later on have been big names. But it does not matter if they are famous or obscure - to me they are all STARS!

The actors are mostly from my early days of moviegoing, even if some new names have also been included. There is many a movie that I have watched just because of these performers. They were and still are great personalities in comparison with most of the mediocre and wetcombed leading actors. In movies today there are seldom any colourful minor characters, the action focussing solely on the leading roles, most of the time. So I would like to remind you of these familiar faces which often were and are more exciting to watch than the leading actors. I have kept track of their careers down through the years, they belong to my youth - and still keep it alive to me! This site is dedicated to them.
