September 9, 2001
A generally satisfying year for Dragon people, in this Year of the Snake,
2001. The pace slows down and it's a lucky year
for business endeavors. Plans go smoothly although there is minor opposition
indicated. Don't be too quick to pass
judgment. Remember to listen to everyone's point of view before making
any decisions. This is a good time to bite
your tongue and be in harmony with friends and family. Dragon may have
personal or romantic problems if home and
love life are neglected this year. The fire of passion burns hot and
is an auspicious year for Dragon to get married. Take
the time to be sincere and compassionate or trouble may find the Dragon
quickly. Balance work and social life to spend
more time with loved ones. Introspection and development of intuitive
skills are indicated for fulfillment this year.
Personality
You have a natural charisma and it is unlikely that you would fade
into the background or escape unnoticed at a party.
You are lively company, interested in the world around you and excited
by new possibilities. You have great energy and self confidence and know
how to create an impression. Many dragon people are exhibitionists, full
of energy and
enthusiasm; they are also proud, which is sometimes interpreted by
onlookers as arrogance. It is true that you are sure
of yourself and enjoy being the center of attention, but you also have
a brave and charitable side to your character. If a
friend is faced by a problem or dilemma you will be there to offer
help, and when others might withdraw you will step
forward to help resolve the situation with authority and dignity. In
fact, you apply yourself whole-heartedly to most
situations and if you become frustrated with others it is only because
they do not have your stamina or skills. You demand
high standards of yourself and are surprised when others cannot keep
up with you; in your drive to complete the task you
fail to see their weaknesses. The Chinese say that heaven and earth
are balanced in the life of someone born in this year,
and success certainly seems to follow you. You are decisive and frank,
capable and also lucky. As well as being blessed
with good fortune, you are also an able judge of situations, stepping
in at the right moment with an exciting or creative
scheme. You can be quick tempered and obstinate, and sometimes too
outspoken, but there is usually good advice in
your criticisms or suggestions. You believe that you are acting with
good intentions and are confident of a positive
outcome, and more often than not events work out as you hoped!
Career
You enjoy positions of responsibility and your presence does command
attention. You know how to gain respect,
and being in charge or giving orders comes naturally; fortunately,
most people accept your authority. It is important for
you to have new challenges and freedom of movement; when you feel trapped
by your career or at the mercy of other
people's decisions you are likely to pack your bags and leave.
You are an able and intelligent worker and have strong opinions on
the planning and execution of projects. If there is
room for doubt hold back, seek advice or wait until you are certain
that the conditions are right. You have good leadings,
but your energy can be overwhelming. In your planning you have to allow
for the fact that some colleagues cannot match
your pace, even though they may be inspired by your ideas. You are
suited to a career in law, religion or the arts. You
would also be a good manager, entrepreneur, doctor or actor.
Love
You have an impressive presence and it is not unusual for you to have
a string of admirers who are drawn by your
charisma. You are attractive and know how to charm, so before long
your partner will be under your spell. It is easy
for you to find romance, but hard for you to settle down; numerous
love affairs are not uncommon for those born in the
Year of the Dragon. You do not set out to conquer someone romantically
and then leave them for a new challenge,
it is just that you are disappointed when you uncover weakness. You
are frustrated by emotional over dependence or indecision, and will eventually
set off in search of a new and exciting romance.
At one level, love is a game, and you rarely yearn for the past
or harbor regrets. The same cannot be said for your
ex-lovers who may carry a torch for you long after the romance is over!
You need someone who gives you the space
to express yourself, to impress and perform; someone who plays an active
role but yet is not threatened by your exuberance.

Wood Dragon - 1904, 1964, 2024
A creative and magnanimous type of Dragon capable of developing bright,
new
revolutionary concepts. Wood combined with his sign makes him good
at formulating
and implementing his ideas and working cooperatively with others, even
if he may be a
bit condescending on occasion.
Gifted with an exploratory nature, the Wood Dragon loves to look into
cause and effect
theories; his every action will be guided by sound logic. However,
he also has tendency
to over investigate subjects or to submit people to endless debate
when he is faced
with opposition.
Nonetheless, here is a generous Dragon who is amenable to taking the
middle road;
who tries to offend as few people as possible; who subtly conceals
his domineering
ways. The Wood element produces a less fierce and unreasonable variety
of Dragon
who will compromise when he sees it to his advantage. Still, as a Dragon,
he will
ultimately have to relate everything to his oversize ego and will condescend
to change
only when he is sure of the benefits to himself.
Not as vindictive or self centered as Dragons of the other elements,
he will still be
outspoken, proud and fearless when challenged.
People born under the auspices of the Wood element value their ethics;
they have high
morals and a good deal of self confidence. They know the intrinsic
value of things and
their interests are wide and varied. Their expansive and cooperative
natures will allow
them to do things on a grand scale. They possess executive personalities
because they
can apportion and separate matters into the right categories and work
orders. Their
progressiveness and generosity enable them to take on large projects,
long term or
sizable developments or expensive scientific studies -- definitely
not one-man
ventures.
They have the ability to convince others to merge and join forces with
them. They
branch out rapidly and diversify into many fields whenever possible,
as they advocate
constant growth and renewal. They know how to share whatever rewards
they reap
by collective efforts with all those who justly deserve a piece of
the corporate pie.
Their innate goodwill and compassionate understanding of how others
think and
operate will raise them to very fortunate positions. They will find
support and finances
whenever and wherever they have need of them for people will have faith
in their
ability to turn information and ideas into profit.
Their chief chief shortcoming is that they tend to bite off more than
they can chew and
push things to a breaking point. They may not be able to finish what
they start if they
spread their resources too thin. Their plans could then turn sour or
they may drift from
one project to another without satisfactory results.

The mighty and magnificent Dragon of mythical folklore never ceases to enchant or stir the imagination. The Dragon person is magnanimous and full of vitality and strength. To him life is a blaze of colors and he is constantly on the go. Egotistical, eccentric, dogmatic, whimsical or terribly demanding and unreasonable, he is still never without a band of admirers. Proud, aristocratic and very direct, the Dragon born establishes his ideals early in life and demands the same high standards and perfection from others that he has for himself.
