Since there has been a rule change by the FIG, the 1996 Olympic Team will be the only group known as the Magnificent
Seven. That's cause' squad size has been reduced to only six members. Out of the six, five will compete and four scores
will count. The same goes for the men's team.
She was a member of Karolyi's Elite Team for 4-1/2 years
Nique was a member of the Junior National Team for 3 years
She is the youngest gymnast ever to become a member on the Natonal Team (Age 10)
She was ranked 2nd in the world on the balance beam.
In 1995, the US Olympic Committee voted Domi as the Athlete of the Year

She was the youngest (age 14) and smallest (4'6 1/2") athlete to compete in 1996 Olympic Games. Now that there has been a rule change (you must be 16 to compete in the Olympics), this record will never be broken.
Domi once peed in her leotard at one of her first competitions (she was really nervous)!! Some of the coaches tried
to dry her up, but she was still a bit damp
Her dad won't let her date until she's 18
Dominique appeared on the cover for Sports Illustrated for Kids twice! The first time was in
1995 with Jennie Thompson
Domi skipped level 7 so that she could compete in Invitationals in level 8.
She moved right from level 8 to elite.
In just 2 years, she went from level 5 to elite
Domi's parents wouldn't let her get her ear's pierced until
she made the national team! When she did,
she got them double pierced.
At the 1992 US Championships, Domi forgot her warm-up suit! Luckily, she was able to borrow one
from another gymnast.
USA Weekly has said that Dominique is now the official spokesperson for John Hancock financial services
Dominique's beam mount at the Olympic's was first called the Silivas (the move is named after Daniela Silivas),
but since she did it differently, it's now called the Moceanu!
Domi is the same hight as Vanessa Atler, at 4'8". They seem to be good friends now.
Her middle name is Helena.
Domi is the youngest gymnast to have an Autobiography at the age of 14
Domi's first competition with Bela Karolyi as her coach, was the Alamo City Invitational.

Bela and Martha Karolyi (Dominique's former coaches) learned how to

At the 1995 World Championships, she was the only American to bring home an individual medal
Dominique told her coachs at LaFleurs only a day before she left
for Karolyi's!

Dominique once disobeyed Bela when she talked to her former coach from LaFleurs at a meet.
Dominique was nominated in the Kid's Choice Awards for Nickelodeon (Female Athlete of the Year), but the award was given to Kristy Yamaguchi
