BRUCE ROBINSON |

Bruce Robinson, born 1st May 1946, he must sleep in vinegar because he's very well preserved! Played the part of Brian and did it wonderfully. Bruce Robinson is best known for writing Withnail and I, How To Get Ahead In Advertising, Jennifer 8 and his first novel The Peculiar Memories of Thomas Penman. He also wrote the screenplay for The Killing Fields. It is unbelievably hard to get any info on him, I've spent days on the net trying! He's got incredible eyes a lovely warm smile and looks just perfect! |

HANS MATHESON |

Hans Matheson is scottish, but then all the best folk are! There are a few web sites dedicated to him but it is still difficult to get info on him. He plays Luke in the film and sings "Live for Today" on the soundtrack. He has also been in Stella does Tricks and Les Miserables. Cute looking and definately irresistable to the younger girl but without the drop dead georgeousness of Bruce Robinson! |

BILL NIGHY |

Bill Nighy holds the film together brilliantly until Bruce Robinson appears! He has an incredible voice but as with most of the cast, it is nearly impossible to get any background to them. According to one very brief article, he didn't exist until 1986 so go figure! |

JIMMY NAIL |

Jimmy Nail is the best known actor in the film and as far as I can make out is the only professional musician. He plays mean and moody Les and has a great chemistry with Ray (Bill Nighy). I didn't understand when one of the central storylines was Les missing Brian, why when Brian eventually appeared they never spoke. |

BILLY CONNOLLY |
No-one can make me laugh as long or as hard as Billy Connolly and maybe because of that I always feel let down by his acting performances and I find it hard to take him seriously. In the film he plays roadie Hughie and sings a cracking song (stealin'). Buy his Tickety-Boo tea, profits go to charity. |

Played the drummer, Beano. Timothy had all the comedy lines and the ongoing mystery of his "stalker" was priceless |
