A new Selena movie will be released soon, not going to theatres. It will be released straight into video stores and is entitled "Deadly Obsession". It focuses mainly on Yolanda's obsession with Selena and the events leading to her death. The woman playing Selena is not known yet, but it will not be Jennifer Lopez. No word is out yet as to when the video is to be released.
There has been no final agreement reached about the "Selena" Broadway musical, but it is being dealt with by her father and preperations are being made.
The new Selena cd will be released sometime in early March. It is to be titled "Todos Mis Exitos" or "All My Hits", and can be pre-ordered through the link on my main page to CDNOW. It includes 17 tracks, which I will post sometime soon.
Jennifer Lopez will be releasing an album of her own soon, it is in the final stages of production. She says that one of the songs on it will be in dedication to Selena and that it was Selena who inspired her to start a career in music. The album is due out sometime later this year.
Chris Perez has moved in with a new woman. He has apparently been dating her for a long time and they are now sharing a house. No one is sure yet as to who the girlfriend is.

Word is out that Chris is now engaged to be married and his fiancee recently gave birth to his first child. Rumor has it that the newborn child is a boy, but there has been no confirmation of it yet. Best wishes go out to Chris and his new family!
Another Selena video is going to be released late this March to commemerate her death. It will include her entire 1995 Houston Astrodome performance on it and maybe some others with it. Another sign that, even to this day, Selena still lives on in the hearts of many!

More news on Chris' new family! His baby is a girl and weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces. His wedding date to his fiancee has not yet been set, and may not be for awhile, keep your eyes open for any news on him!
I have the track listing for the new Selena cd, "Todos Mis Exitos". There are 17 songs, ranging back and forth through English and Spanish and all in their original versions (they should be). Here is a picture of the cover and a list of all the songs.

I missed updating this site on March 31, our fourth year without Selena, due to being out of town, but I did remember to listen to only her music, watch all her videos, and light a candle all day in her memory. And if any of you missed doing that then, don't worry, it's not too late to still pay respects to Selena's memory. In 6 days, it will be the official Selena Day in Texas (declared by Gov. Bush), and we will all be able to remember her birth and life then, instead of her death. This year she would have been 28. RIP Selena.
