COFFEEHOUSE OWNER, 10 GUITARISTS HELD ON NOISE COMPLAINT
Police raided a noisy Hollywood coffeehouse early Sunday and arrested the owner and 10 guitarists on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a public nuisance. The 2:15 a.m. raid was sparked by repeated complaints from permanent residents of a nearby hotel at 1825 N. Cahuenga Blvd., officers said. They said they couldn't sleep. Police identified the owner as Henry T. Harper, 25. The establishment, The Omnibus, at 1835 N. Cahuenga, was issued a noise abatement notice March 27th by the city attorney's office, and Harper was given until April 1 to correct the nuisance. Eleven complaints are pending against a co-owner, Michael Raven, of 1841½ N. Cahuenga, for alleged failure to obtain a live entertainment license. |
